The staff of the hotel is very personal, extremely friendly and helpful. You can get good advice about Vienna and where to go. The Hotels mascot is adorable Oscar, the dog of the owner. The breakfast is great with organic fruit, fresh bread, great quality marmalade, ham, cheese, salami, Nutella etc. The location of the hotel is placed wrongly on the map of Hostelworld, which was misleading and that actually made us walk around in vain in a completely wrong area of Vienna.

Contra: carpet in our room was extremely dirty. Bed and sofa looked rather unpleasant after many years of usage. Pro: Perfect linen and daily neatly arranged bed. Good breakfast Summary: it is called Hotel. For hotels I would say our room was rather unpretentious. But breakfast was better than in any hostel I've seen so far. The one charming thing about the place is the hundred year old building with ancient staircase and some old style stuff in the rooms.
