one of the staff was not making us comfortable and refuse to give us garbage bin for the room, he said just for the bathroom.

Good clean rooms perfect for what we were after, helpful and friendly staff with a real central location - perfect. 2 downsides; 1st that the lift did not work and we were on the top floor, im not unfit but the stairs are steep, and 2nd there was lots of noisy renovation going on at the time we were there (early sept 2009) but that wont always be - would recommend x

I would stay at Hotel Serena if I was visiting Milan again. Although basic, the hotel met our needs and at a good price.

This hotel suited our needs to the T, it was a great place to stay and the staff were really nice. The only detractions were having to leave our passports at check in for the entirety of our stay and handing the room key in everytime we left.

As an accomodation, it's great. It's relatively cheap for a hotel, is super clean, and has a good location. But the staff makes Oscar the Grouch look charming. You also have to leave your key every time you leave the hotel - not a huge deal for me, but probably not everyone's preference. The air conditioning is only on sometimes and the price I paid here didn't include breakfast, fyi. A good hotel, but the staff put me off.

This was a nice hotel to stay in, very clean and staff helpful. It is a good location although they have no maps and don't really provide any information even when you ask so can be hard to figure out about tours, restraunts etc.

It was just fine..! We were in better hotels for the same money, but the hotel was fine.. no breakfast and the air conditioned do not work at night. The summer of Milan could be very hot.. The location is near the station, wich is good. However, at night is not the better neighborhood.. I think its fine for one or two nights..

The receptionist insisted to charge me 25 euro more because of my late arrival (9pm), according to him. Despite we could not find any arrival time information on my booking receipt (I didn\\\\\\\'t know I should be there at 5 pm), he seems to blackmail me as he knew I could hardly find another hotel. I had an early flight next morning so I asked him to kindly return my passport after registering all the data in 1 hour. Still, he did things in his way and I got my passport next day.

air conditioning was controlled by the hotel and only came on for a couple of hours at night. Leaving your keys with the reception every time you leave and they didn't check your identity when you ask for them back...
