Great location, Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend the restaurant as the food was better than any of the others nearby.

Obviously Agra has not the best guest houses. The room was awful. There was spackling paste at the wall. No warm water. No possibilities to hang up ur clothes or put it somewhere. Their was only the bed and a very small table in the room. That's it. Only plus is that it is very close to the beautiful Taj Mahal.

Wonderful location for those interested in being close to the Taj. It had an atmosphere that was among the best of the hostels that I stayed at during my stay in India.

What a great budget backpacking place next to Taj Mahal and the most amazing Indian people we meet is running this place :-). We came when a crazy heat was hitting India, and they had no more A/C rooms, we survived with a lot of cold showers, but doing summer we can highly recommend booking a A/C room.

I love the staff at Sidhartha. They're very fun and friendly, not overbearing at all. Next time I will stay in an AC room.

average and expensive, no hot water

This hostel could not be any closer to the Taj Mahal so location wise it is perfect. You can see the Taj from the rooftop, if you are brave enough to go up there...the monkeys are scary, however the staff were helpful in keeping them away! All staff here were very friendly. The food in the restaurant was only ok.

A fantastic hostel all around. Highly recommended.

location is excellent, owner is very kind and informative, room is clean enough for onenight stay, by the way food is surprisingly cheap and yammy, on terrace you can see upper half of taj

For the price you pay it is wise not to expect too much of this hostel. The location is excellent- a very short walk from the Taj Mahal, which makes getting up to see the sunrise- beating the hoardes of tourists there much easier. The restaurant in the hotel was a plus- reasonably priced with a good selection, albeit service was extremely slow (Indian standard). Rooms hot, but not able to open window at night because there were no fly screens. Very spartan decor. Bed very hard. Cleanliness OK.

I was given a room with out AC .when they advertise on website that AC is available. never had hot water and when I complained to the receptionist he said hot water is only available in winter which also nothing is mentioned on website. I felt i was very cheated. Also lot of bugs in the room and no action or even came to check my room .

Excellent location. Staff generally uninterested except for one of the receptionists who was really fun!! Nothing much to do at night in the area. Pay the extra for AC as it was boiling at night and the fan didn't do much, really. Good for a one night stop if you want to see the Taj.

Its pointless rating India accommodation on Hostelworld because there are no hostels in this country. Put it this way, its probably not going to be the first or last place you stay in India and as far as India accommodation goes its totally decent. The rooms are clean and spacious and the A/C room was worth the extra few bob. As far as location goes you could do better but only by about 5 metres as its so close to the Taj Mahal you can see it from the roof. Restaurant is decent enough as well.

very close to the main entrance the taj mahal and the fort.the hotel staff is very helpfull and friendly.i spend 2 days and i feel at home

Very helpful friendly staff, within 200m of main gate of Taj. TFood is delicious although it is veggie ,excellent value for money. Rooms are basic but good value for the price paid. Manager was very helpful about everything. I would recommend this place. The rooms are around an inner courtyard, so even though the street outside is busy, inside it is very peaceful.

The manager was good fun and great for a joke. Also willing to help out if there was a problem. Really enjoyed staying here. Great food too. Rooms typical of Indian hostels - don't expect perfection but clean enough! Taj Mahal pretty much around the corner.

This place is decent.... we felt safe and it wasn't grubby. The people were helpful and the one guy was really friendly. We ate the food and don't have any complaints. It's right beside the Taj, where cars aren't allowed to go which is really nice! :)

Taj Mahal from hotel roof top.....Great......
