Best wifi in Kathmandu. Friendly(ish) staff that can be weird at times. Good atmosphere, met some good people here for drinks and what not. Great location, far quieter than most other hostels on Kathmandu. Spacious, no bunk beds, hot showers almost all day. Would absolutely stay again. For $3 a night, you can't beat it. Stay here instead of Happily Ever After(the 2 cheapest in Kathmandu). I stayed in both and this one was far, far better.
Stayed here in total for over a week. Really friendly and helpful staff who know all the cool places around the city. You can also leave your luggage at the hostel while you are trekking. Good location. The water coming from the shower is not that hot.
Bathroom attached to the dorm room needed work.
It's in the very center of Thamel (a big market, one of the places to see in Kathmandu). It's in a quiet backyard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants and (trekking-)shops just around the corner. It's a great place to start your trip in Nepal. If you stay in the dorm, it's a great place to meet new people.
The hostel is very clean and not noisy. Hard to find if you don't know Kathmandu well. Good cheap breakfast.
