I stayed in the dorm room for almost two weeks. It's nice and clean, room an toilet/shower are cleaned meticulously every day, the shower has really! hot water. The dorm room is on the 5th floor but you are rewarded with a big room and a nice roof top balcony. The atmosphere in the dorm room was great, a lot of nice people. The staff is friendly, the main courses at the restaurant good (though you can find it cheaper elsewhere), the location in the backstreet central and without traffic noise.

This is the cheapest place i could find with hot water and good location in Thamel..if you dont mind a little bit of roughness then go for it! The dorm room is basic but fine if you want to save and meet a few people while you're there

I stayed in dorm, it was ok. Nothing special, but the value was really great and lociation just excellent. In Thamel, but in a small alley so it was quiet enough. Water in the shower was barely warm in the middle of the day, but it's Kathmandu and with its everyday power cuts it's pretty common. They said they also have solar power, but unfortunately the day was cloudy so maybe that's the reason.
