For the price of a really good hostel, you are getting a good budget hotel - in a fantastic location (literally 1min from bus/rail station, 2mins to marina) and with really friendly & helpful staff. Good for a single night stay as the town itself doesn't offer much. After this stay (1st night in Portugal) we re-booked this hotel for the last night in Portugal - You're not going to get better, for the price especially, so close to Faro Airport! Just don't expect hostel atmosphere.

It is always a great pleasure to stay at the Hotel Sol Algarve. The staff are very friendly, helpful and informative. The location is great, very near to, but not too near, the railway and bus stations and the centre of town. Excellent value for money. Would recommend this hotel mostb highly.

Excellent location couple of hundred meters away from the train and bus stations, right in the city Center within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Good sized room, with a balcony and international TV channels as a little surprise. Very helpful and for the most part funny staff, providing every information we had need for.

Was good value for money. Close to train station and a 10 min walk to Faro's waterfront. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again if in Faro. Good alternative to staying in hostels.

Nice hotel for cheap money. Friendly and helpful staff in the reception. Clean room and toilet, which is very important for me. Many channels on the TV. The balcony wa facing the street which was a (very small) minus, but the rest adds up. Close to the "city" and all the resturants. Was only there for 1 night so didnt have time to explore the beaches, if it was cloce etc, but close from/to both the bus and train station, so that was also good. Def recomanded for those who wants comfort for litle
