Hotel Sonne Freiburg Reviews

Hotel Sonne was wonderful. We had a private double room which was big and had its own sink. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful! We had to catch a night train and they held out bags as late as we needed so we could explore the town after check in and not have to carry the weight! I would definitely recommend. Only comment is, breakfast and having laundry done was sort of expensive.

The hotel Sonne is a very homely place to stay. Well situated a short walk from the station and on the edge of the old town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfy. If I went back to Freiburg I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

My group and I came to Freiburg to hike the Black Forest and Hotel Sonne was perfect for our purpose and budget. It's not far from the train station and is across the street from a 24 hour gas station. It's also a short, direct walk into town; whoever's working the front desk will provide you with a map, if you ask. The shared facilities were clean, beds were made each day. You have a sink in your room and the beds were comfortable, too. All in all, a great stay!
