Nice japanese style hotel with tatami rooms and good bathroom. We can recommend. Cleaners were a bit too active in the morning, they were knocking in the door many times.

Room was huge. Japanese style. A great sleep there. Kind of hard to find (actually on the other side of the street than the one indicated on the map).

Good location, quite in the centre of the city. It was a little bit annoying that the only internet access was in the lobby. Some staff members were smart and helpful but some of them were hard to communicate. Rooms were clean big enough. Good service for the price. I'd stay there again.

The room smelt of fish and was very minimalistic. Otherwise fine and a very reasonable price for a room in the middle of Kyoto

A true Japanese experience, in a ryokan that still meets an western way of thinking. Great price for a big tatami room, plus a smaller room near the entrance, and a complete bathroom. The public bathroom is good as well, even though it could be prettier (maybe some paintings or decoration could help). The staff was helpful and the service for keeping luggage before check-in and after check-out was free. It was not my first time in a japanese style room, but this one was trully amazing, loved it   Read Owner Comments

We had some great help from one of the staff members, but when we checked in at night, the staff were quite unhelpful, not telling us about towel rental or where the bathhouse was-- actually not telling us anything at all. Basically, I gathered from the advertisement that this was more of a ryokan, but was disappointed to find out that it was just a hotel.
