Upon our arrival, my friend and I didn't feel like we are at the hostel. It looked more like a private block of flats. The guy at the reception didn't even have any computer to find our reservation. He just looked at our reservation number and he looked clearly confused. After calling some lady and having 5 minutes conversation on the phone he accepted us in. The location of the hostel isn't great but we could reach Old Town within 15 minutes by tube which is not too bad.
For the amout of money it's best what you can get around.

This e was like something from a horror movie. The staff were extremely rude. We were greeted with them barking "Reservation" at us and demanded our passports. A tall old scary man wrote down our passport details and then we had to sign two different forms of documentation. The lady then took our keys and started to walk towards an elevator without saying anything to us, we followed her. Checkout was at 10, but scary man knocked on our door at 09:50 telling us to checkout. Shower didn't work.
The hostel and a room reminded the time of 80s - smelly beds, carpet with stains, shower with bath but not a shower, very old and noisy lift. Although the hostel had its own parking space they ask extra money for car parking and its kinda shame, cos most hotels offer free parking for they guests. Overall I would say that it quite ok hostel for those who have really low budget and do not expect anything cosy for they holidays.
The staff does not speak English, but we have arranged the same. We have moved from our booking (2beds room, toilet on the floor) to a 5beds room (but there were only us), with kitchen and private toilet, good!
When booking I put the arrival time as 11am but when getting there they said we couldn't check in till 2pm and they had no where for you to leave your bags. The staff were friendly but don't speak any english, but they could understand a little german. The location was ok not great, its about a 5min walk to the metro, which is on the same road, and it takes about 15min to get into the center. There isn't any where in walking distance to go in this area.
Employees don't know English. Not a single word.
Well, one point of improvement for the staff is that they need to speak english. they coulndt say a word and start to talk to us in their own language.
Although very kind the staff spoke no English, the rooms were absolutely filthy and the whole air of it was disturbing. As a student I don't mind living rough but when I left I contracted two different types of lice the next day which affected my mood hugely for the next two days, I hope people read this review, I usually love living it a bit rough but this was too far

The place is kind of spooky, particularly the elevator. You never see a soul around, and in the night all the lights are off and it's kind of scary. The staff speaks only czech but nothing that cant be handled with simple words. But overall, the cost for what you get is excellent, the rooms have a lot of space and there's a mini fridge available. The place is clean, the furniture is not new but it's in good state. The place is close to the Underground and you can easily acces the city's centre.
The staff hardly spoke English and they didn't appear too that friendly either. The walls are like paper and the lift makes a loud sound whenever used. There was't always hot water in the showers and the toilet didn't have its own sink. Plus we had troubles with the main door keys, and during our several days' stay we we're only able to get the door open twice without the staff opening the door from the inside.
Avoid it, it is not for young people who want to go to Prague and have a fun.
