How often do you get to stay in a historical building. Fairy tale location within the Fort in Jaisalmer. Lounging rooftop cafe. Overlooks the incredibly beautiful Jain Temple. Sounds of singing, bells. Very helpful people. Best part of my Indian journey fo me was the stay here.

someone requested by the hostel came on motorbike with a sign and name and met us. didnt have any transport, and asked us to wait around. we waited around another 10min, still didnt have anything and was getting late and more rickshaws we had to get one ourselves, when we arrived there was no rooms in suraj and the owner wanted to put us up in his 'friends' guesthouse, we found out that dodgy hostels will advertise even when they dont have rooms and flick it off to another hostel for a kickback.
