We LOVED hotel surja!! certainly one of the best experiences we've had in India. a fantastic location inside the fort will cute, clean rooms and great rooftop views. owner waited 2 hours from 4am to pick us up from our train which was late without complaint then gave us a room to shower and sleep in while we waited for ours to be ready! did a FANTASTIC camel ride with them overnight. johnny and padres were lovely and treated us like royalty. best value around with competent and kind staff.

staff were very nice and friendly. our stay in the hostel was very nice

After their Jeep picked up from the station we were whizzed straight through the fort. We were amazed at our beautiful views looking out over the city. It isn't everyday you get the opportunity to stay the night in a fort! Therefore it is a must to stay here! Also the lovely rooftop bar is great to relax and look over the city also.

Fantastic location right in the fort with a great roof terrace with amazing views. Lovely staff and excellent service. They also arranged desert safari for us which was good quality and a good price.

The most remarkable hotel I've ever stayed in. While it won't offer you the cleanliness of a big hotel chain it offers charm that no chain could ever live up to. Splash out and book the deluxe room, which will get you a balcony overlooking the lower city. Breakfast was up to standard but there seemed to be very little Indian food on the lunch/dinner menu at the time of our stay. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone travelling in Rajasthan.
