They should provide hand soap in the bathrooms to promote hygiene! Other than that, room rates are good.

Excellent for the price. Only bad is that it's pretty far out. One of the tiniest rooms I've ever been in, but again, it's what you pay for. There's also a Japanese-style bath in the hotel which is great, and the staff were very friendly.

Taiyo is nicely located hotel; which has very Japanese style. Rooms toilets and showers were clean. The house wasn't very pretty, but Taiyo is very good value for your money, if you want to stay couple of days in the heat of Osaka. Definitely would overnight in Taiyo again!

The place is falling to bits but let's face it, you pay £10 per room per night, so stop complaining! The actual sleeping area with the tatami floor was clean and comfortable, as was the bedding. Hotel needs TLC.

Business hotel like you can find everywhere in the street, without charm but very cheap.

Great location and it's nice there's always someone at the front. But two showers for one whole building is not enough.

Good location, easy to find and well connected to various stations. Stayed in a 2-person Japanese-style room. It was small but clean. The room had a slight smell of old tatami but not unpleasant, might be unusual for someone with no experience in Japanese-style rooms. The bathrooms were a little smelly, but frequently cleaned. My friend and I used the private shower rooms rather than the public bath and only waited short times. We stayed 1 night, traveled for a week, and returned for 3 more.

2 individual showers in the lobby flor for the entire hotel was really frustrating. Despite that fact, the staff was really friendly.

Overall, this hotel is very convenient to reach if you travel from KIX airport, just 45 minutes away from airport. We also compliment this hotel for having a microwave and hot water pot for its customers. However, we often have long queue for taking shower as only two private shower rooms available in 1st floor for hundreds of customers. Also, When I arrive, the weather was still rather cold, but we didnt get any heating system to our rooms thus we often slept with shivering early at night..

Exactly what it says: a business hotel. Thought it was fun to stay on the japanese style tatami, and they give you sweet robes and slippers to wear. Staff were friendly, and the price is hard to beat.

In my opnion, if you want to spend a great time in Osaka, this hostel (Hotel Taiyo) would be a perfect choice for you. It’s located nearby one of the most lively area - named Namba -, Tennoji Temple, Osaka tower and Zoo as well. Hotel Taiyo gave us a good experince, as we could try the traditional japanese bath - Onsen – and what is more we could wear yukata all day inside of the hotel. We were staying here 4 nights in comfortable room (we had TV, airconditioner and fridge), which made our staying really wo

As I only needed a place to stay for one night in between travelling this was ideal as it is cheap and near a lot of stations. THIS IS NOT A HOSTEL THIS IS A BUSINESS HOTEL. You will get what you paid for so don't expect anything lavish. However staff were very welcoming and helpful.

No frills hotel, perfect for people on a budget. With the private onsen though it is well worth a stay and the location was great!

It was good having a free Onsen to use, it was so relaxing. There is a subway station out the front door which made it easy to reach everything, and it was really cheap! What more could you want?

The rooms were good, but the facilities felt dirty and dated. There seemed to be only two showers for 8 floors. There are better places for the same price.

Tha hotel wasreally nice, the staff kind, what i enjoy most was the ofuro, it is so relaxing, and the schedule for men and women is well programed, the only thing i didn´t like too much was the toilet, there is only one female toilet, and the shower is only 2 for all the people, that maybe must leave at the same time. But the rest was really good, i will recomend the hotel
