Hotel gets mega-points for the Japanese bath-house - a hot soak every night was great! It's also excellent for solo travellers as it has single private rooms; a bit tiny, but I was delighted by the tatami mats & futon, and yukata & slippers to wear around the hotel. Staff are lovely and friendly. Great location - in Osaka, the subway is almost mandatory, and it's right by a mainline stop, minutes from downtown. For fun bars & food, don't miss ShinSekai, through the arcade opposite the station.

Really pretty good for the money. Nice staff, clean rooms, didn't worry about my stuff getting stolen. I only had two problems with it, and one was my own fault, so I won't hold it against them. The first is that they have eastern-style toilets, and either I didn't research hard enough, or it wasn't publicized. I don't know, but kind of an awkward surprise. The second is the acoustics of the entire building. I could hear every step taken on my floor, and a lot taken on the floor above me.

The staff was welcoming and attentionate, but the hotel was old and the rooms weren't that clean. The fridge was buzzing and I had a room next to the floor toilet and it was very noisy. I couln't sleep well.

Loved staying here due to the combination of location and price. Simple as that. :) Thank you for the chance.

The staff was very helpful, great location, the rooms were clean. Too bad that the number of the toilets is not enough (there is just one on each floor), so they get dirty pretty easily. However, it has an unbeatable value-for-money ratio.

Solid, cheap, no frills. Good location because it's near a few tourist interests.

Great location, very near the subway, but a little removed from the centre of Osaka. The Japanese staff were immensely courteous and very helpful, but the manager who didn't seem to be Japanese was quite rude and made our stay very unpleasant. There was also a perpetual smell of smoke in the hotel which gave the place a grimy and squalid feel. Felt somewhat shady also. With such a low price, it's a place just enough for a night's rest in Osaka.

Good value and very convenient. I would stay there again. Near to Tennoji so it's a good link to the airport.

Perfect location as you are minutes from the subway and right on the JR line. Best value option out there - especially for private rooms. The rooms were pretty chilly but they give you big duvets to sleep with so you'll stay warm at night.

Stayed with a friend for a week in one of their economy twin rooms. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They couldn't give us a non-smoking room, they deodorized it and we couldn't even tell it wasn't non-smoking. The room was old, but clean- as was the hotel in general. We stuck to using the Western-style toilet on the 9th floor, since it was kept cleanest. They have free hot water, so bring tea from home, buy a mug at the nearby 100 yen shop and save some $.

Occidental style toilets would be nice at every floor. Two private shower room for a whole hotel are not enough.

It was very comfortable to stay in this hotel since the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well maintained even though the building was a little old. The closest station is only one minute away and has direct access to major centres in Osaka. Highly recommended.
