A bit cold in the winter, as the AC in the room can't work as a heater. Has a nice small bathhouse in the ground floor. Toilets are asian-type.

I really like this place. The area has a nice laid back feel and I felt very safe even on my own at night. The rooms are a bit run down but clean and great value.

It was really good staying there. The room was really clean and warm. There is a Japanese style bath: really nice:) The locations was excellent, very easy to access and easy to find. Nothing negative to say about that, real warm atmosphere and nice.

There is allocated timing for the common bathroom (spa) for male and female. The spa was so hot (50 degees) that you cant even have a dip.

Mr Tomita was a fantastic person there. I wanted to go back on the following saturday but the place was all booked up. So depressed. Tomita was a very good host and chatted with me. No one else working there or any other place would botther chatting with the people staying there. Excellent place to stay even though it was the smallest space I've stayed in Japan. Please let Mr Tomita that I've tried to comeback (because I told him I want to come back) but could not. Heavily recommended!

Very good hotel! The room was clean, the staff very helpful and the public bath just nice. Ok, there is only 2 showers and only on the 1st floor, but you're not in Japan for showers, you are there for piblic baths and it is a very good one. And for this price, it is a very good place to stay.

A cheap hotel, okay for sleep one night but not more. They have two free computers to use and a bath which was pretty good.

Great location and reasonably priced, traditional toilets are a little tricky getting use to, however western loo's were pleasantly warm. Hiring the bikes for the day is definitely value for money and a great way to sightsee the local area. They also have tickets available at discount rate to spa world directly opposite hostel. Please note: spa world will refuse entry if you have a tattoo whether cultural or not. Hostel owners were very helpful even though their English was limited.

Posible the best quality/price relation among all the hostels I've ever been. Incredible price for that quality in Osaka, I definitely recomend it.

lots of dust and feathers on the floor. and in the room. stuff were covered by dust in just a few minutes. Only 2 showers for the whole building and it's on the first floor.

...sorry I can not understand all these good ratings! The area around the hotel is totally crappy: time passed by, but there everything stayed the same-consequence: old houses from the 60ties, waste on the street, lots of male homeless people etc. etc. single rooms big enough, with new powerful air condition. Only asia-style toilets on the floor and some showers on the first floor...dirty and ran down corridors, and rooms. Even if the staff is friendly ant the price is low...never again!

For the price, it's an amazing place to stay - rooms are very clean, as are the showers - toilets, not so much. No common area, so not great for meeting people. Very helpful staff, discount tickets to various attractions, good connection to Osaka station by JR or subway. The area is a bit nasty-looking but very populated 24/7 and quite safe - common sense about not exploring dark alleys alone is all you need. Amazing price, great hostel. Will stay again.

Great bargin! Private room for less than some dorms in nearby cities. Good location, nice and close to the station, a 7/11 and a post office (everything you need!). The staff were really helpful! (They helped us find and book our next hostel). The decor is a bit run down but nothing major and our room was a bit stuffy. Everything is clean though and free internet and location are great for the price.

Love the Japanesse style of the hostel with beds on the floor and a japanesse rope like kimono...so nice, The people from reception was so helpful, they even help me to clean my purse that was dirty from the travel and everytime I asked for directions to any place they give all the maps and clear instructions as well as tips to do the things on a budget. The people from the cleaning very nice and smiling...definitely I´ll come back to this place...!!!

hotel was very good for the price! Everyone says that the area is dodgy and unsafe for female travellers but I didn't feel unsafe at all. The area isn't the ritz and it i full of men (I only saw 2 women on the street while I was there) BUT no one approched me in any unkind way. The subway stop is directly outside of the hotel and the line is a main one, and very easy to use. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our aircon didn't work the first night and they fixed it right away.
