Love the Japanesse style of the hostel with beds on the floor and a japanesse rope like kimono...so nice, The people from reception was so helpful, they even help me to clean my purse that was dirty from the travel and everytime I asked for directions to any place they give all the maps and clear instructions as well as tips to do the things on a budget. The people from the cleaning very nice and smiling...definitely I´ll come back to this place...!!!

Stayed with a friend for a week in one of their economy twin rooms. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They couldn't give us a non-smoking room, they deodorized it and we couldn't even tell it wasn't non-smoking. The room was old, but clean- as was the hotel in general. We stuck to using the Western-style toilet on the 9th floor, since it was kept cleanest. They have free hot water, so bring tea from home, buy a mug at the nearby 100 yen shop and save some $.

Very good hotel! The room was clean, the staff very helpful and the public bath just nice. Ok, there is only 2 showers and only on the 1st floor, but you're not in Japan for showers, you are there for piblic baths and it is a very good one. And for this price, it is a very good place to stay.

Mr Tomita was a fantastic person there. I wanted to go back on the following saturday but the place was all booked up. So depressed. Tomita was a very good host and chatted with me. No one else working there or any other place would botther chatting with the people staying there. Excellent place to stay even though it was the smallest space I've stayed in Japan. Please let Mr Tomita that I've tried to comeback (because I told him I want to come back) but could not. Heavily recommended!

It was very comfortable to stay in this hotel since the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well maintained even though the building was a little old. The closest station is only one minute away and has direct access to major centres in Osaka. Highly recommended.

I really like this place. The area has a nice laid back feel and I felt very safe even on my own at night. The rooms are a bit run down but clean and great value.

Hotel gets mega-points for the Japanese bath-house - a hot soak every night was great! It's also excellent for solo travellers as it has single private rooms; a bit tiny, but I was delighted by the tatami mats & futon, and yukata & slippers to wear around the hotel. Staff are lovely and friendly. Great location - in Osaka, the subway is almost mandatory, and it's right by a mainline stop, minutes from downtown. For fun bars & food, don't miss ShinSekai, through the arcade opposite the station.

Great bargin! Private room for less than some dorms in nearby cities. Good location, nice and close to the station, a 7/11 and a post office (everything you need!). The staff were really helpful! (They helped us find and book our next hostel). The decor is a bit run down but nothing major and our room was a bit stuffy. Everything is clean though and free internet and location are great for the price.

Great location and reasonably priced, traditional toilets are a little tricky getting use to, however western loo's were pleasantly warm. Hiring the bikes for the day is definitely value for money and a great way to sightsee the local area. They also have tickets available at discount rate to spa world directly opposite hostel. Please note: spa world will refuse entry if you have a tattoo whether cultural or not. Hostel owners were very helpful even though their English was limited.
