Hotel Taj Plaza Reviews

Would been perfect to throw some free Wi-Fi in, and the network's coverage is not the best. Excelent location, good terrace but prepare yourself to have some loud Indian neighbors.

Great Hotel and the location is awesome, less than 2 mins to the right to buy your ticket for the Taj and then back and five minutes to the left and your at the Taj. Also your ticket gets you free transport if you don't want to walk. Anyhow back to the Hotel, the beds are comfy and the rooms are clean, staff and really helpful and the restaurant serves ok food...admitingly I ate all my meals here for simplicity. If someone wanted to stay in Agra overnight I would recommend they stay here.

Not a bad cheap style hotel, nothing to ride home about but for the price you pay and considering it's 600m from the Taj it gets the thumbs up

Brilliant hostel - clean and location is perfect just a 10 minute walk to the Taj - beautiful view from the roof top cafe. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Excellent value for money!! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Agra

This was a very nice place to stay! Very good value for money, close to Taj and Taj ticket office. Other sites are a little further away though (and so is the bus stand/train station)

Amazing location, very near to Taj Mahal. Food was cheap but not great. Good value for money. Only complaint was the aircon-It kept cutting out and was very noisy. Good place all in all for a few nights though!

Nice place, all facilities worked very well, friendly and helpful stuff. Not a lot of character or social scene like a nice hostel might have, but that's not surprising since Agra is a quick day-stop for so many people. Restaurant is overpriced, but food is good (not great). Security is questionable--room locks/keys are super-basic and easily picked.

even we stayed there for just one night everybody was very helpful.

Great view and location to the Taj

Walking distance to the Eastern gate of Taj Mahal and the ticketing office is nearby too. Staff not very friendly but I guess it is the language barrier and not anything else. Very good rooms. The restaurant provides bland food though.

Only a 5 min walk to the Taj and a perfect view of it from their roof top restaurant, incredibly good value for money! Huge rooms too with everything you need. Would definitely recommend.

A bad start with the driver not showing up at the train station. The manager didnt charge me for this so it was quickly resolved. Enjoyed my time here n would come back. Friendly staff, strong wifi, right outside the taj mahal entrance n food at the restaurant was great. They even gave me a room when I checked out to wait in for my night train at no charge! Although its not a place easy to meet people

The location was amazing: just a short walk from the East Gate of the Taj Mahal, with plenty of restaurants nearby. There were incredible views of the Taj from the rooftop, as well as the pleasure of peeking into the courtyard of the super-expensive Hotel Oberoi next door. Our only complaint was that there was no hot water during the hours promised (after 6pm). A lot of hotels in India have evening-only hot water, but this hotel didn't seem to have any at all.

we had a nice stay at the Hotel. We really enjoyed the roof terrace and the food. The stuff was also really friendly and helpful.

The staff were very kind and helpful. It's an easy walk form the Taj Mahal and also close to the East Gate ticket office which is nice. Enjoyed the food from the restaurant and the view from the top is excellent. They included extra amenities that many places do not, and I really appreciated that (toilet paper, extra soap, towels, etc.). Was glad to find this place as I've heard many places in Agra are not very nice.

Solid place near the Taj Mahal. Good rooftop area to eat breakfast and look at the Taj Mahal. Breakfast food was good. Only issue as staff coming into our room unannounced a couple of times.

Just the one night at hotel Taj Plaza. Few complaints. The beds were soft, excellenct wifi. The food from the resurant on roof of the hotel was fantastic! Not to mention the view. Only one I us got a hot shower but that is the only issue we had. I would go back

The location is great, about 10 min walk to the Taj Mahal; breakfast is OK for what you're paying (Indian breakfast includes a couple of chapatis, potatoes and tea). Staff at the reception are very helpful but the bellboys follow you everywhere looking for tips. The main drawback, however, is the cleanliness and facilities in the rooms: sheets were smelly, as were the blankets. TV didn't work. Towels and toilet were also dirty and stained (both). There's a nice view of the Taj from the terrace.

We stayed at Taj Plaza hotel only for two nights but it was great experience! The hotel is very nice, clean and with great view at Taj Mahal. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to everybody staying there if you are planning on going to Agra!
