For the price and the location you really can't complain.

This place is a mixed bag: excellent location, good food and seemed clean. But the service (particularly in the restaurant) was not great (although the food - if it came - was good). Also, the roof-bar can get noisy and (beware) the expensive Taj VIP suite is directly next door!

It was a real pleasure staying in the Hotel Taj Plaza even though it was for one night only. The staff was incredibly helpful, the front desk very efficient and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a memorable stay, I will be back!

Horrible place. Food is terrible. Mine had flies in it. Rooms were filthy, swaring with mosquitoes. Staff did not help with even the smallest request. The view of the Taj is not actually very good. It is very far away and there are other hotels with much better views. The hotel were very pushy for me to book travel transport through them so they could get commission. They would not help otherwise.

We enjoyed our stay here, nice clean big room. The rooftop restaurant is excellent and the hotel is in a good location, walking distance to the Taj. Their travel desk was also very helpful and organised a car for us to Jaipur. The only gripe is that the "Free of charge" internet wasn't free.

Don't both upgrading to the taj-facing room (the next level up) - or at least make sure you see it before you decide to do so. There isn't much by way of restaurants in the immediate vicinity but the location is very close to taj and the rooftop view is good.

Quality hotel with friendly staff. Nice Indian breakfast, dinners could be better although. About 500 metres to the Taj Mahal east gate, with rooftop view....ideal! Don't forget to get your Taj ticket first, because that's a few hundred metres in the other direction :-).

The Hotel Taj Plaza is rather a hotel than a hostel. its fine to stay a night to see the taj and maybe other sights of agra. as long as u dont exspect more than a place to sleep u will be fine with this.

Loved my stay at the Taj, Aman and his staff were awesome, would stay here again. The view of Taj from Terese is awesome and the walk to east gate is less then 1000 yards.
