The arrangements made on hostelworld.com were not the arrangements give, there was no real compensation from the hotel for the lack of abilities to accommodate even though it's what we'd booked. The shower in the room flooded the room. It's very old but had a lot of character. Is in the heart of the city, prime location with access to everything. The staff is very friendly. A lot of young people there, was not a problem though. Wouldn't stay again - just because it's not my ideal place of rest.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Location was great as it is close to the metro and busses run along the Via Nationale all day/ night. Streets in Rome tend to be very well lit at night so I felt pretty safe walking alone at night. Note that some metro stations shut down at 11:30 pm so be prepared to taxi, bus or walk back to the hostel after a night out. You have to buzz in to enter the hotel so security was great. Room was small, but clean.

Great place to stay! Location was great, about a 5 minute walk from the Metro. The staff is nice and very accommodating and knowledgeable about Rome.

Few good things are: close location to most of the sightseeing places and Rome Termini (train station), availablity of WiFi in the room, english speaking receptionist (only one). I was very shoked by extremely small bethroom in the room which was stuffed with large sink, toilet and bide. The shower place was so small and no borders to keep the water inside. No hangers to put the towels on. Did not like it at all.

The staff was extremely accommodating and very helpful. I would highly recommend Hotel Texas.
