Here goes... It is close to the train station but in a scummy area. There are men hanging around and when you are by yourself they whistle and make comments as you walk past. Because the whole area is busy you can still walk places but you won't want to linger. The breakfast is the crappest. An absolute rip off for 6 euro. You get cereal choice of corn flakes or choc flakes, one bread roll and one croissant. Otherwise easy location, cheap room, would stay there again but don't expect luxury

with of season prices very good value for money. a bit noisy though, the soundproofing between rooms is very poor.

Hotel Trocadero has the best location, just 3 mins from main train station in Nice. About 10-15 mins walk to the beach. Staff are quite friendly. Room is clean. But generally not much character or fun. It's a good place for a short stay, with free wifi & luggage storage.

staff were nice and helpfull. they really made the atmosphere. there was no luggage room, but you could leave your luggage to the reception room, where were no security really. you have to leave your roomkey to the reception, and to get it back, you just needed to tell your room nro. NOT, the safest option because basically then anybody can get into your room. WHAT WAS ANNOYING: they added some "local tax" to the invoice, this was not mentiod on a website at all!!!
