Hotel Residencial Universal is a small Budget Hotel located in the heart of the city of Oporto, with a multilingual welcoming and helpful reception. The Hotel offers small but very comfortable rooms all with private bathrooms with hair dryer, air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV and direct dial telephone. Basic and standard rooms have internal view, and panoramic rooms overlook the street. Breakfast is available by extra charge and includes bread, croissants, yogurts, cheese, ham, hot drinks (coffee, tea, milk) and orange juice. The location of this hotel was the best thing about it. The room was small, dark, and cramped. We had to leave our room key at the front desk whenever we left the hotel, though apparently there were safes available, which no one told us about. The breakfast was not included and, though it wasn't very expensive, it wasn't very good either.
