We emailed and were picked up from the bus which was nice. Only stayed 2 nights while visiting lake titicaca. It was easy to book through the hotel reception. The breakfast was good. The shower was freezing. We had cable TV in our room and the beds were really comfortable

I booked a private hotel room because there didn´t appear to be many hostels with dorms around on Hostelworld. Upon arrival it turned out that Copacabana is full of cheap places to stay and can easily be booked there. However, I did enjoy my stay in this hotel, that is friendly, clean and quiet and 2 blocks off the main street. It´s just that there is probably better value for money out there. Breakfast was a big plus though. Table side service and both continental and hot options.

Nice hotel - decided to have a couple of nights with my own room rather than a hostel. Nice enough but for the price you can get a cheaper room at Colonial hostel in the centre of Copacabana with a tv too (which Utama didn't have). Beware, the hotel closes it's doors at 11pm - can{t get in or out and they don't tell you this when you arrive!! (Not uncommon for Copacabana though, many do this - although there is at least one in town that has 24 hour access).

I loved my short stay at Hotel Utama. Breakfast is amazing!! Pancakes, eggs, cheese, ham, tomato, cereal, bread, juice, tea - Loved it! The free water, bananas, sweets, popcorn and tea are also a nice touch! The people are helpful and I like that it is not right in the centre of Copacabana.

We stayed 5 days in this hotel. Breakfast is good (but no buffet). Rooms are okay. Free bananas, water an cocatea all day long. Internet very sticky and slow. Ask for the best price in this hotel! There are many similar (better?) hostels in Copacabana. We would recommend just to the city, visit some hostels and take the one you like most.

Showers are not hot / pressure changes a lot but is never high. Internet wasn't working most of the time we stayed there. Other than that it's a great hostel, huge lounge w/ couches and free bananas, coca tea, water and candy. Breakfast is great (includes eggs as you like them, pancakes, fruit salad, yoghurt, cereal, bread, juice...).

Very friendly and welcoming. I was met at the bus stop and I hadn't told them what time I would be arriving. There was a bottle of water in my room. Mate de coca, bananas and sweets were available and free. Breakfast was excellent. Hostel was very quiet at night. I loved it and I shall be back.

We enjoyed the stay at the hostel. Tv was working, the internet also. Breakfast was good. he only thing that was weird was that you get only a very small cup of jam for one pancake and four peaces of bread. When asking for a little bit more jam, it was sad "No, it is not possible as it is not included".

I was feeling ill and chose this place as a treat to cure all ills and it did! Probably the most comfortable bed I stay in in all of South America! Very nice place with helpful staff and enjoyed my stay very much so.

+ best breakfast of Bolivia, staff in general really sympathetic and eagerly to help (which is rare in Bolivia), general facilities good and clean with confortable rooms. - the guy responsible for breakfast is always in the worst mood possible, not really safe luggage store. In general recomend a lot to stay in this hostel, specially because hostels in Bolivia mostly suck and this is nice.

Breakfast is great, staff are great, very friendly and helpful, free bananas, coco tea and sweets all day. Quiet, good location. If you're looking to meet people it is probably not the place to go but for a break from 6-12 bed dorm rooms then this is the place to do it. Hot showers ALL day, pick up from bus, bags carried to room....really well looked after. All for around 10 quid a night...bargain!

The staff was very helpful and friendly and overall atmosphere was great. They will help out with anything you need at all. Don't depend on having good wifi (anywhere in Bolivia). The overall experience was really good.

This was by far the best property we stayed in throughout all of Bolivia. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff was truly kind. The breakfast was fantastic, with all of the standard fare, plus yogurt, cereal and eggs with cheese and ham. Fantastic!

Adorable hostel off the ¨main drag¨ of Copacabana run by a mom and pop. Shower was a little iffy, went off and on. Other than that was great! Breakfast was good and I got my laundry done. Nice little place to stay the night.

Best hostel breakfast ever, clean, big rooms, friendly staff.Water is set at lukewarm in the showers. Wifi is turned off from about 10pm until breakfast. If you pre book they pick you up from the bus station, hoowever they don't tell you about this. Just look for the guys in the 'hotel utama' jackets with a van when you get there. Security seemed fine until I noticed that all the spare room keys are kept on a shelf clearly labelled in the room where the computer is, which anyone has access to.

Very helpful staff. Nice clean room. My girlfriend was ill during our stay and the owner was underrstanding and allowed us a late checkout. Breakfast was good. Free lollies, bananas and coca tea.
