Hotel Val de Loire Reviews

Staffs are nice and friendly, speak English quite well. Room is clean and cozy The hotel is just located near the Tour Center Station, and only 15 minutes walk from the city center The only tiny problem is that we are arranged in the loft floor where there is a small window, and in our twin bed room, one bed is nice and the other is a little bit inconvenient (cause it's just under the triangle and sloped wall of the loft) Other things are really fine.

I stayed in room 14 which smelled of cigarettes and I am sure that there have been dogs staying in the room in recent times. As I am a non-smoker I was not happy that the room had odours. Although the window opened and that allowed fresh air into the room it also meant that street noises also woke me. (Garbage collection early in the morning and traffic.) There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided which I appreciated. Needs renovating. Staff were friendly and approachable.

I never got to stay at this hostel because they gave away my room because I arrived after 7 PM. However, they called another hotel right around the corner and got me a room for that night.

Well, first of all, the room displayed in the hostelworld website and the room we got were completely different. On the hostelworld website you see lovely spacious rooms and we've got a 'dongeon' of a room on 3rd floor with a low ceiling and a tiny windows. It was around 35celsius at night - no aircon - but with a van to move the air around 'so the chicken gets cooked evenly in the oven'. The room was changed after complaint. Lovely hotel otherwise, but I'd avoid the third floor.
