Nice place for stay, especially because of the very convinient location - close to the center and to the train stationl. Good breakfast and nice rooms. There were some problems with the shower, but it is not so important to spoil your stay there.

Although the location wasn't that great, this is a decent hotel. I read complaints about the area being sketchy, but it really wasn't that bad. It was very close to the train station and Grand Place. We even walked everywhere. There are several places to get food nearby. The room was really nice and actually better than what we were expecting. Breakfast was included and it was a great breakfast. We were pleased with our experience there.

It is a good Hotel in Arabic district. When I asked to a policeman for the address, he replied that I should keep my pockets and be aware of thieves. The internet connection is extra and the breakfast is excellent! The hotel is in bad district and it is a bit problematic to go back the Hotel at night. However, it is clean and secured well. It losses my rate because of the bad district. Except of that it is cheap and good.

The room was OK but over four of our friends that booked properly did not have beds upon arrival and the staff did not help to assist in finding alternative options for them. It was not too far from the main train station which was a plus.

There were about 20 people checking into Hotel Van Belle when we arrived. The man working the desk became very enraged with a group because the hotel overbooked their room. It was a group of three and while he tried to accommodate them, it was after yelling at them. They were confused as to why they did not have a room and he was speaking in a very angry tone. The hostel was not far but a little unsafe for walking late at night. It was definitely not in a nice area of town.

The hotel was in a horrible location. The staff was unfriendly and very unhelpful. We booked a three person room, only to find our room only had two beds which did not seem very clean. Since we had arrived so late, one of us decided to just sleep our friend's room who had a larger bed and deal with the situation in the morning. When addressing our issue the next day we were treated very disrespectfully. The hotel was very overpriced considering our lack of satisfaction for Hotel Van Belle

Overall the hotel was good, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the staff were always nice and very helpful. The shuttle bus is a great addition. Even though its not a long walk, the bus is great especially later at night as the area is a pretty dodgy. The hotel itself is more like a motel, but for that price it makes sense.

The hotel is OK (its cheap compared to the majority of hotels and hostels in Brussels...so dont expect too much, you will get what you paid for). The huge problem is the location, its the worst. Very dangerous, lots of weird people and if you are a girl or girls...you will feel unsafe.

It's 3 stops on the tram from gare midi, the directions on the site did not explain them well and the map does not show the correct location so map it someone else before you go The staff was friendly and helpful, it was more like a hotel rather than a hostel I just stayed a night and I left early the next day so I didn't spend too much time in the hostel It was very clean and they have a shuttle that takes you for free to and from the city center as well as the train station

The stay was enjoyable overall, but the window in the room on the top floor needs to be sealed properly. The wind was blowing strong that evening, sucking air through the window and causing the door to rattle all night. My sleep was interrupted a few times due to this.
