it was a very good stay! at the beginning I was a little bit surprised about the location/environment, but the hotel was nice. its nice from the inside, clean and the stuff very helpful. also helped us how to get to some signs in bruxellas. the room was nice and clean, fresh towels etc. i missed the breakfast coz i stood up too late, but i imagine that it was nice. unfortunately there is no free wifi? you have to pay for it..

PLEASE READ ALL IN THIS COMMENT:This hotel is WONDERFUL. So I would suggest it to everyone, BUT the problem is that It is situated in a DANGEROUS ZONE.My girlfriend and me were coming back from the center at midngiht (the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Bourse),and in the Rue of Anderlecht's end, at 200 mt. from the hotel, we've been subjected to an attempt of mugging.A man hit us with a stick,so we went to hospital and my girlfriend recived 2 stitches.USE TAXI or HOTEL'S SHUTTLE SERVICE!!!!

The Hotel was amazing, the room was very clean, the bathroom was excellent and the shower was amazing, the only thing is because of the power of the shower, all bathroom was wet, I suggest to put a extra door in the bath, the rest was perfect. The breakfast was amazing, good quality.

Overall an average hotel but in an inconvenient and not very nice location.. there is a shuttle that runs to the city centre, but only at night. The staff were relatively friendly/helpful though.

The shower was the best I've experienced in a hotel/hostel/Europe!

Overall a comfortable stay - especially appreciated the free shuttle service to the central tourism area in the evenings.

The location was not in the best neighborhood, but only a 10-15 minute walk to a lively nightlife.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Van Belle, it is very clean and I felt safe in the surrounding area. All the rooms have TVs and fresh linens. The staff is bilingual and friendly, I had some trouble getting cash for my weekend stay and they gave me a day so I could convert my currency. It is located a short walk away from the midi rail station. Its not right near the central sqaure (Grand Place) in the city but if your up for a walk its not too bad. Overall a great place to stay.

The neighbourhood is not the best, but it is really close to the city center, cca. 10 minutes of walking, and it is really good value for the money, clean, quiet, etc.

Nice hotel in not so nice area!

Good: In the Arab quarter. Quite a convenient location, half way between Gare Midi and Grand Place. Half an hour to walk to Grand Place. Quiet location. Warm room. Nice friendly staff (but all people in Brussels seem to be friendly). Poor: Room was smoking (smelly!). Bathroom fan broken (smelly at times!!). No drinks making facilities in room (but water OK). Worst muesli ever!

Location of the hostel is nowhere near where it is marked on the map per the website. However the directions to get there attached to booking reference are quite good. Follow them, especially the part about turning left out of the railway if you use the Fonsny exit.

Good hotel, big bathroom. It doesnt have wifi. Good location just one minute away from the subway. The breakfast was just a piece of bread with a croissant and a cup of coffee.

Overall a decent Hotel, good value for money and convienent location. Free shuttle pickup was good, saved us hassle to find our way in the dark/dodgy area. I understand it is normal that hotels are not equipped with kettles for hot water in Belgium, but it would be much better to at least have a few available from the reception upon request.
