So half the time I was there we were without electricity, including when I packed to leave, no showers either. The staff also did not want to share any information on how to use local transport etc to explore (ie collectivo to hot springs) and only wanted to push their packaged tours (2-3xs as much). So you need to do research a ahead of time, also really hard to find a quick bite to eat nearby so be prepared. Lovely city, clean linens, 2 days is enough.
Enjoyed our 2 nights here. Not sure about the set up with the kitchen though we didn't try using it (I think it was next door). Nice staff, good location. Already recommended it to friends.
Hostal Berakah serves delicious breakfasts every morning! The owner has a transportation company and booked our shuttle to El Salvador. The hostel has a relaxed atmosphere.
We had a problem with our room that could have potentially spoilt our stay in Copan (not their fault, just one of those things!). But instead of just making us endure it, they fixed the problem immediately and then went above and beyond to ensure we were happy for the rest of our stay. So what could have been a disaster, instead turned out to be an absolutely wonderful stay. Plus the breakfast is AMAZING! And the staff always helpful with directions and knowledge about the activties around Copan
We had a great time at hostel berakah - loved the free breakfast (different thing every day) and the balcony where you could chill out and meet other guests. The staff were great - Fernando (the manager) drove all over copan and beyond showing us the town. Would definitely recommend!
The biggest private rooms are at the entrance next to the registration desk so is very noisy. Also these rooms are downstairs and there is no air flow besides a small fan; so the room was extremely hot.
DO NOT TURN OFF WATER AT NIGHT. BETTER LIGHTS IN THE ROOMS WOULD HELP.

Great value for money- free breakfasts. Amazingly friendly staff who help with anything they can. Everyone is so friendly and loved my time there! Definitely worth a few days staying there!
Great staff, clean, perfect location....we are going to stay again on our way back through Copan!
Pretty much a perfect hostel experience. Well located, friendly staff, reasonably priced rooms, and a diverse crowd of hearty travelers to engage and share stories in the awesome upstairs patio. Loads of cheap eats and nearby transportation also added tot the convenience. There were some water issues during our stay but the owner had that remedied lickity-split. Can definitely recommend!
The hostel staff are very friendly and help organise everything. As per usual I checked around prices and berakah had some of the cheaper ones apart from the odd one. The hostel room is basic but has everything I needed. Constant warm (you wouldn't want hot) water and fans in the rooms with lockers at reception and two kitchen areas which we used to cook one of the nights just fine. Hammocks and chairs are easy to find to relax after a hard days hot pooling.
