Hotel de la Bastille Reviews

Don't bother booking a room, they will just give it away and send you off to a terrible hotel. I ended up just checking out and losing my money to go to a new hotel. The one they put me in, which they assured me was just as nice as theirs is, was very loud, freezing cold, and did not take credit cards. I am very displeased with BOTH places. The one they shipped me off to is called Hotel San Sebastian. Do not stay there if you enjoy sleeping in peace and quiet.

Actually, we do not stay there. They did a kind of overbooking but arranged accomodation in another hotel: Saint Sebastien hotel. We had to wait for them a bit, but the other hotel was better. Good deal. I would recomend due to the way they treat us.

Staff were helpful, friendly and approachable even if their English was limited. Could do with refurbishment but suitable price paid for facilities.

Dirty. Bedbugs. Stains in the sheets. Impossible to sleep at night because of the noise of some guests, but the staff didn't care... Room not cleaned on Sunday. Worst hostel ever and expensive.

really good low budget hotel. very good location, everything what you need is in 20 meters access, grocery store, Subway, Quick (french version of Mcdonalds), metro station, many restaurants, bakeries, cafes and bars that has happy hours from 6 to 9:30 and are open very late every night. It is quite noisy at night though so who wants to go to sleep early should think about earplugs. Our room was smal but cosy and clean. Staff was friendly and price was very good. We were overall very satisfied!

Speak with them was very difficult because anyone speak english. The room wasn't really clean and tidy.

There were bed bugs. The place was pretty grim really, but what can you expect for the prices? The location is good but there is a lot going on on the street outside, and as the radiator in our room was stuck on we had to sleep with the window open and we hardly slept because of the noise.

Good location, very friendly and helpful, nice to have a lift. Standard rooms without luxury but enough for a few days in Paris. buena ubicación, personal muy simpático y amable, bien que haya ascensor. Habitaciones normales sin lujo pero para unos días en parís suficiente.
