The place was filthy and the building was a depressing dump. My girlfriend and I were in our room for 5 minutes and had to split. A gross unwashed blanket and little kid stickers all over the wall. Do not attempt to stay here!!

The place wasn't really quite worth the cost. It was basic, bed + ensuite, but it was a little noisy at night due I think to the open vents in the toilet (despite the double glazed windows), no shower curtain so water everywhere in the tiny bathroom. We came back once with no staff around, had to wait 'til they got back from the shop to retrieve our key after they 'cleaned' (replaced the soap and put a new bathmat down). Also they didn't speak any english (which was fine, but just to warn you).
Very simple but functional place. 24/7 staff at door. Steep stairs to get to room.
This hotel is wild, cheap and in a good location. The atmosphere inside of it is a little bit strange...I mean tjust one of the staff is speaking english...the other two men were not speking english at all, once we needed the help to find the hospital, since the friend of mine injjured her toe, the man at the desk was skyping and he made us understand that we were disturbing his conversation. He was not nice at all...since it was evening and we had no idea about where was it.

Hotel des Andelys is a small hotel very close to the metro Parmentier en Place de la République. The hotel was clean and smelled very clean every day. we had a 3person room en suite. The bathroom was clean but there where some humidity spots but none of much concern. The staff is very friendly, gave us a map and tips to get a view of the best of Paris. It is more than worth for the price we payed!
Near to metro, bars and some stores. Staff was friendly and the room was okay, altough old and could be renovated... There was free internet but almost impossible to connect and very very slow and unstable. The receptionist didn't speak english but that was not a problem in our case, since we both speak french. Security could be improved; we had to leave the keys at the reception and it seemed like everyone can just ask for the key to any room. But all in all it was worth the money.
the communal bathroom looked a little grimy but thankfully we had a private bathroom. the location is a short walk to several metro stations and easy to navigate from there. the staff was nice and as helpful as they could be (all though they do not speak a lot of english they helped what they could, you are in france so get over it and learn french if you need that much help) wifi worked in our room on the 4th floor. didnt see any communal space but only stayed for a night
Hotel is well located and easy to find.Personnel was helpful. Most of them dont speak English except one person but they still try to help you as possible as they can.The room we stayed was double bed with bathroom.Bathroom is just a little bit small but it is good for this type of a hotel. The room was also spacious. There is free wife at every floor but you get full signal when you are close to stairs but not a big deal. There are lots cafes, bars around hotel.I would stay there again.

Cheap and clean hostel, 40 min. by walking from Louvre (to opposite direction than others places to visit). Small room and very small private shower room. Good for several nights, not for longer stay. There was a TV in the room, but it was needless for me. For the price what I paid and the distance to the places to visit I didn't find anything better.
Looks like a road drive in. Red walls with cheesy collage of the word "LOFT" makes the ambiance. Pipes hanging off the walls, as well as the sink, which is detaching. The flush also gave us a pleasing surprise. Great location.
Sujo, muito sujo!!! E atendentes não sabiam nada, NADA de inglês!
Location was ok, quite a long walk to any of the sights but easy on the metro. Staff were friendly but spoke hardly any English. The rooms were a bit depressing and not very clean. The shower in the room leaked straight out into the bedroom. One shared toilet for each floor, really unclean and the door didnt close. Spotted a few cockroaches. Wifi was spotty and security was not great, with the front door wide open all day and you have to hand your keys in whenever you go out.
The hotel was fine, but little more than that. Rooms were small, reasonably clean, but the ensuite was tiny and without a shower curtain or cubicle. Thne best of the hotel was probaly its location, for a reasonable prize we were able to be close enough to walk into the centre of Paris (admitedly quite a long walk, but through Paris so quite a nice one!) and the hotel was also close to a metro station with good links.
The biggest problem about Hotel des Andelys was the fact that the staff had very poor English. It was very difficult to communicate and we couldn't get enough info about the city from the reception.
Was a decent hotel. Compared to staying in hostels it was nice to have a room that wasn't shared with 8 other people. On a loud street so make sure you bring head phones since its hot and you need to have the window open. Shower was small but definitely not the worst. The older gentleman at reception was very helpful. Told us that in order to experience the city we should stay out of the subway and walk. He was right! the rooms were clean beds pretty comfy.
