About Hotel Hermitage
The Hotel Hermitage is a resort hotel of an international standard in Sauraha. It is located 10 minutes drive (6 km) away from the town of Tandi Bazar sauraha chowk (East-west highway), 5 minutes drive away (2km) from Chitrasari tourist bus station and just on bank of park and 5 minutes walking distance from the park and its headquarters and Exactly on the bank of Rapti River, boarding the Royal Chitwan National Park with attractive landscape with big open playground, excellent river side location and Largest territory (8 bigha) forest land.
The hotel has Nepal's only one designed as the Boathouse. The others structure has cottages, pond, Boating canal, house etc. The hotel resort has cottages of traditional style but with all modern amenities, provided with also tent houses. Two double storied
boathouses surrounded by water, a number of cozy huts and 12-roomed guesthouse make a total 30 rooms of the hotel.
As the name of the resort suggests,the tranquil and independent life of hermits can be enjoyed in each of the rooms and practically everywhere inside the Hotel compound, especially its beautiful Organic vegetable, fruits And flowers garden.
About The Park
Nepal has a total of 16 National parks, wildlife Reserves and conservation areas. The most popular wildlife sanctuary attracting visitors from all over the world, is the Royal Chitwan National Park (932 square km area) situated in the subtropical lowlands Tarai. The Park was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1984. The Park covers a pristine area with a Unique ecosystem of significant value to the world.
It consists of the Churiya hills, Ox-bow lakes and Flood plains of Rapti, Reu and Narayani Rivers. It contain70% of the Park vegetation is sal forest. The remaining grassland (20%) riverine forest (7%) and sal with chiropine 3% the later occurring at the top of the Churiya range. Over 50 species of mammals, 55 species of amphibiansand reptiles and 530 species of birds including Common, migraine and rare are found here. The Endanger species are the Bengal Florida, giant hornbill, lesser florican, black stork and white stork. The Park is especially famous for endangered one-horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and the gharial crocodile along With many other common species of wild animals. It also harbors endangered species such as gaur, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin, Gangetic dolphin, monitor lizard and Python. Other animals found in the Park include the sambar, chital, hog deer, barking deer, sloth bear, palm Civet, langur and rhesus monkey.
