I was all set to give this hostel an excellent review, had it not been for an incident with one member of staff accusing another guest of lying. Super awkward and uncomfortable, the staff member treated him like scum, based on a mistake his own colleague had made. The situation was incredibly poorly handled and made it absolutely crystal clear that this particular staff member did not respect guests. So, so poorly handled, and in front of another guest, who is now writing this review? Awful.

A great location (though easy to walk past without seeing!) in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Seattle. 2 blocks to the Freemont Sunday Market, tons of restaurants and pubs around. Only disadvantage is that it's not close to downtown - but the busses do run regularly. Great character, comfy beds. We had a great chat with the owner over breakfast.

This is a superb hotel in a great location. I loved the neighborhood of Fremont, and the hostel had a welcoming atmosphere and great facilities. The bathrooms are amazing and the complimentary continental breakfast was also appreciated.

Bathrooms are brand new and very clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is convenient by bus from downtown. Breakfast is good. Kitchen is very organized and clean. We love the quietness and had an enjoyable stay. It would be nice if individual light is installed by the bed for reading and early packing. Definitely would love to return and recommend to others.

Tastefully done modern hostel. Well above North American standards. They even have IKEA duvets!

When I had to cancel my reservation, a very pleasant reply email was sent quite promptly. Very courteous. My only beef is that Hostelworld charges the $18 fee that is non-refundable. Although I guess they have to make money somehow too.

The bathrooms are very modern and clean. So was the kitchen and all the cooking utensils (dishwasher!). This is one of the few hostels with a kitchen that you actually feel really comfortable cooking in. The staff was friendly and helpful. In one of the rooms there was mold on the wall. The person we talked to about it took this serious and thanked us for letting him know. Hopefully, they'll do something about it. One half of the building is quite loud at night because of the Irish pub below.

Beautiful hostal. Great spot in center of Fremont. only complaint is I was there over st. patty's day and the Dubliner bar downstairs had a very loud... not so good... band playing until about 1 or 2AM. I dont think that is typical of other nights though.

I have a lot of really great things to say about this hostel. It's clean, nice, and manages the right kind of atmosphere. My buddy and I came up to enjoy the nightlife and they informed us that the hostel was intended for out of state/ out of country travelers and

When we arrived we weren't greeted very well, due to some strick rules we had a tough time checking in (hint: don't check in after 10 o'clock). Other than that we had a wonderful time in the Hostel the staff was friendly (85% of the time) and the rooms were clean. The hostel is far from downtown but the neighbourhood (Fremont) is young and hip! Good Luck!

I really appreciate the courteous and pleasant staff. Also like being housed in a "private" dorm room when they are not full. Two small problems, neither a huge deal but worth noting: The window shades are not long enough to cover the windows--so dorms lack some privacy and darkness. When the staff serve breakfast, they take all of the utensils out to lobby, so none left in the kitchen.

pros: more like a hotel, very clean modern and everything is new. bathrooms are huge and spotless, beds are clean and very comfy. cons: no atmosphere at all, limited cooking utensils and one extremely rude, surly, and actually aggressive member of staff- and a few average ones (apart from guy with long hair, he was lovely). stay here if you're looking for comfortable relative luxury. avoid if you want fun, pleasant interactions and not to get treated like you've irritated staff by being there.
