This is a very odd place. Its a bit like a holiday inn Japanese style. The rooms were very clean and comfortable but without any real character. However the internal decoration with garden gnomes and odd ball pictures on the wall helped in this regard. The food was amazing. The Japanese breakfast was particularly interesting and the waitresses were lovely, helpful and obliging. the location is quite good. It took us a while to find but is actually very well located for the Giant Buddha and deer park. For the money this is a sound choice but if you are looking for a traditional Ryokan experience look elsewhere....Close

Location is not near the stations, but there is a bus from the JR statino (10 min, 180JPY). Personnel is very nice and always trying to solve any problems and provide solutions. Room is nice, in tatami floors. This is a boutique-like hotel which is very reasonably priced. It was a treat to stay here because the main tourist sites are nearby and the Nara's commercial district is also well within walking distance. So you get peace and quiet with amenities within close proximity. After the big Japanse urban 'bling-bling' centers, take a breather for a few days at this hotel!This is a boutique-like hotel which is very reasonably priced.
