This is a reasonably priced hotel, and not a hostel for those wanting that sort of thing. The staff were excellent and helpful, and the hotel is right in the centre of town. Freiburg is a beautiful place and this hotel fits right in. Breakfast is comprehensive and you are well looked after.

It was a fair way from the station, and this was explained on the site, but it was close to the city centre, which was good. We were on the top floor, and the bathroom was one below. WIFI was good.

Good: Very good location, in super center! Good service and kindness from the owners! Room clean, but with any character. Common spaces are special! Bad: Our doors was broken! Any possibility to close it! No WC in the room (only shower and washbasin) and only a WC per floor...

I really enjoyed staying in this Hotel. At first thought, it could be a bit expensive for us, but they give us free transport card so that we could save our money!With that card we could go to Blackforest for free!That was so great. The breakfast was absolutely great. Indeed, at our last night, there was a jazz gig in the Hoff, so we could enjoy the music in our room, which was utterly fantastic. If I go to Freiburg again, I will choose this hotel again. 100% again.

What a charming hotel! The forest was right behind the hotel, making afternoon walks in the woods very easy, and the main cathedral was a street away. I loved it!

This place is clean as can be. I stayed in a private room with bathroom. All modern and only about a 15min walk to the station. I would stay again. Only complaint would be street noise from the cafe/bar but that is in every street in the town.

really an excellent hotel, a perfect location for visiting the city of freiburg and the black forest, full of restaurants and pub in the surroundings, near a car park, good and clean rooms, maybe far from rail station, that is at the other part of the city, if you have much luggage
