Great owners, they were very helpful and friendly. Rooms and shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent, different kinds of bread, cold cuts, variety of cheeses, even cucumber and tomatoes, pancakes, cereal, müsli, joghurt, coffee, tea. You didn't have to leave hungry! Good location too and it was easy to find!

We had a different experience in staying in a "hotel-boat", but it is no ordinary boat. Big, clean, very nive owners, excelent breakfast... we loved our stay there. If you are a couple, but do not mind sleeping in two single beds for a few nights, that's the place to stay in! They do not routinely clean the bathrooms everyday, but you can just ask and they will. Loved it!!

This hostel was a delightfully calm stay. The owners were friendly and offered useful advice catered to your reason to be in Amsterdam. The rooms are small. By small I mean impressively small, but then it's a boat so it it should be expected. If you're on a family holiday for relaxation or just need a quiet bed for the night I would recommend this hostel. If you're looking for the more wild side of Amsterdam then I would suggest you look else where.

It was a lovely trip, the boathostel made it even better. I liked the atmosphere, the people the were very friendly and welcoming, good breakfast and good coffee, quiet in the evening, warm cabins (it was a really cold weekend), comfortable beds. All in all a good experience and probably we will try the same hostel next time round.

Only disandvantage staying at the boat: You can here every step being taken at the floor, the steps and above you. Advise: For sleeping, use earplugs.

Our stay on this house boat was terrific - the room was very clean and nice, the breakfast good, the atmosphere very pleasant and the staff extremely friendly and helpful (also sharing pointers on which places to see, where to have dinner etc.). The location was great as well, as you can easily walk to the old town or inner city center, or rent a bike nearby. All in all, we were very happy with this accommodation and would go there again without hesitation.

The hostel was noisy! If you're planning on sleeping past 8am, don't stay here. The owners make breakfast in the morning, and since the hostel is on a houseboat every single footstep sounds like banging on the room's ceiling. Additionally, the rooms were a lot smaller than expected, and the window was the size of a piece of paper. The room was extremely damp and musky since there was so little fresh air. The wifi is only available from 10 am - 11 pm. I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

Great Experience

This boat, the location and the staff were awesome! I will definitely stay here again. The only 1 issue I had was that they turned off the Wifi at 11PM and turned it back on in the AM, but the owner explained that he pays per the MB, so it made sense. Either way, the couple that runs the place are the sweetest Dutch couple ever and they are A+ in my book! :)

Staying on a boat hostel was an awesome experience. Cecile was so kind and we were able to buy museum passes from her. The breakfast was great, and even when we had to leave very early to catch our flight, she woke up and brought us orange juice and coffee. Be aware that the walls are thin... another guest yelled at us for laughing too loud.. But other than that, I would absolutely recommend this hostel! Its a great value for a private double room.

Very friendly, familiar staff. Breakfast vas very rich and delicious. Although the weather was cold outside, inside there was so warm. The owners give us so many informations about the city, where to go, what to see. Thank you Cecile and Hank!

Great staff/owners! Beautifully decked out hotel vessel! A nice breakfast put on. Staff were very helpful with how and where to go around amsterdam, and were able to save us some entrance money at a few venues. Would visit again, simple hotel quality with just over hostel prices!

It was a great place to stay well situated for getting to central Amsterdam and the central train station for ferries or trains. The hosts were great and accommodated our every need and served us a wonderful breakfast everyday. Just keep in mind when you book that it is a boat, and somewhat smaller rooms should be expected, but that's part of the character that we loved so much! Definitely will be booking here again.
