The hostel is a charming little boat. Staff members are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. Location is good. It is about a 15 minutes walk to the red light district and 10 minutes from central station. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

A great place to stay in Amsterdam. We had a little bit of trouble finding it at first (the docks are not in numerical order, don't be fooled!), but once we got there it was great. A short walk to everything you'd want to see, and the rooms are clean and a good size. Hank and Cecilia were super helpful, answering all of our questions, and the included breakfast is a great way to start the day. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Cute place. Not as cheap as it should have been. Couple who runs it is sweet but not very good with email responsiveness. The location is close to the library if you need internet and computer access but it is a bit removed from the center of things.

everything was great the location was GREAT, online someone posted that it was a 20 minute walk from central station but the only way it might take 20 minutes is if you were on crutches or something. it took us about 10 or less. it's also close to the redlight district but the boat is very quite so you can sleep at night should you choose to. the breakfast was good lots to choose from, i have no complaints one should know that the room is tiny, with no tv so you wouldn't want to hang out in it.

The Stafff always was anxious to make sure that we feel comfortable and like at home. They tried to speak our language as far as it worked and gave us security and sightseeing advices right away.

The rooms are small, and keep in mind that it is a boat... But the woman working their was hilarious, quirky, and very friendly. And free breakfast is always a plus!

Great hostel! Comfortable, spacious rooms, good location very near the red-light district, great staff, and of course the novelty of being a boat. Highly recommended!

Nice spot, pretty clean with friendyl staff. Quite an interesting experience to sleep on a boat, especially if you rent the 5 person cabin, then you'll have a whole space just for you! Maybe a bit expensive compared to other youth hostels, yet I'll go for it again if I had to choose. Enjoy!

Probably the best hostel i've ever been. Never seen so much care about cleaning and travelers, you can always ask everything and they will help you any time. Incredible atmosphere outside the boat where you can relax when you want and see the entire harbor. Only five minutes from the Central Station, i extremely recommend it because you will have great for sure.

I recently stayed at Hotelboot Angeline with some of my friends and we LOVED it! The beds are super comfy, shower pressure was great, and the other guests were friendly. The breakfast was awesome, with a great selection of breads, pancakes, yogurt, meats, and cheeses! It was a 15 minute walk to the downtown area but was well worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone!

very good quality/price. Advice for hotel manager : for breakfast, a plate of butter on buffet table in addition to margarine would be great

Just back from a 2 night stay at Hotelboot Angeline & thought the place was fantastic. Henk and Cecilia were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was exactly what was expected, clean and cosy (although I'd imagine it might get a bit warm in the middle of summer!). Breakfast was excellent, good choice available, cereals, cold meats, cheese etc which sets you up for a long day's sightseeing. You need to eat in the library as well one night as the food was superb and cheap. 10/10

They were the sweetest, best couple ever. As soon as we walked in one of the owners sat us down with a map and told us everywhere we would want to go in Amsterdam. The rooms were small but what do you expect on a houseboat? The only thing I can say is that soap in the bathroom would be nice. All in all it was an amazing experience!

The boat is about a 5 min walk east of the Central Station and is outside the center, so it's definitely a quiet are. The couple who run the hotel are great. Very friendly and willing to advise on things to see/do while in Amsterdam. The boat is comfortable and clean. My bed was reasonably comfortable and the sheets were clean. Bathroom was very clean as well. It was -10*C outside most of the time, but the heater in our room was able to keep us very warm the whole time. Breakfast was pretty good
