Property Information:
Built in 1928, Houseboat Tante Piet is a very homely and cosy place to stay while discovering all the attractions that Amsterdam has to offer.
In wintertime, relax in front of my cosy warm fireplace with a nice glass of wine, or something else, while in summer you can sit outside and enjoy a nice BBQ, bonfire while listening to some music. We can also make a Bonfire in wintertime for sure as well! While staying at the Liefke Boathouse, your host Siet wants you to experience the real Dutch way of living! The boathouse used to be a actual work ship and is 20 meters long!
Our guest room is to the front of the boat. The bed is a very comfortable high-bed for two people. The room includes towels, washing facility and a toilet. If you want to stay with 3 people there is enough room for a mattress on the floor. ( plus) . The boat house is equipped with all the amenities a modern life asks for, like: hot water, shower, fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans! And free WiFi!
Siet has an urban city Vegetable garden from which she cooks typical Dutch Food. lf you wish she would love to cook for you.
The boathouse is only 5 min from Central Station, and is also next to:
- The famous flee market 'Waterlooplein'
- The Red Light District
- Different Museums ( I have a discount card for you!)
- One of the oldest squares: 'The Newmarket' were you can eat the best 'Cheese Fondue' ever!
After the exciting tourist city center you have an Unique urban place to come home to.
Tante Piet Houseboat is located on a street that is like a small village right in the center of Amsterdam, we all now each other and like to help each other out. And the overall atmosphere is live and let live!
Kitchen table-talk is always the best, if you like to talk about the 'pancake' Holland or just feel like telling a joke, you are very welcome. If not that is perfectly fine as well. I just like you to have a great time!
A really nice thing, is that at the and of the street/gracht, there is a very cool bar/restaurant/dancing which is open 7 days a week!, for good food (bitterballs:-)and beers!
For all of you cat lovers, meet Boobie
