Good place. My room was in the owner's private house. Easy going. Only drawback is that smoking is allowed (and widely practised), so there is a mild reek of cigarette smoke everywhere. Houses dover was a great place to stay. The lady who owns it was extremely welcoming and helpful. She made us feel right at home and that really helped us enjoy our time in Barbados. It is only 2 minutes from a fantastic beach and is located just at the end of the strip so is in a great location. I would highly recommend houses Dover to anyone coming to Barbados. I stayed at Houses Dover for one night and an affiliated beach-house for 8 more. The guesthouse was a few minutes from the beach and local bars. The beachhouse was almost right on the beach and had an amazing ocean view (also only 5 minutes from the best bars in the Gap). Brigette was a great host who had amazing recommendations for the island including the local fish market. I had originally planned to stay at a few different places but ended up not leaving.
