WOOW, WHAT KINDNESS, HOSPITALITY, GENEROSITY AND FREEDOM I ENJOYED. THE OWNERS' POLICY OF GIVING FREELY CANT HELP TO RESULT INTO RECEIVING BLESSINGS IN ABUNDANCE. THANKYOU JOY AND JOAN. Far surpassed my expectations after reading the previous comments. No chores to be completed by guests. Staff were friendly & helpful. A $10 key deposit allows 24 hour access rooms. ie. NO LOCKOUTS. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. Beds clean & very comfy too. The walk from the metro line is only 10 minutes & very convenient. Finally, the permanent residents are both friendly and interesting if you're not an obnoxious twat and prepared to engage them in conversation. It was a fun place with heaps of character. Right in the middle of the museum district, and an easy metro ride into the city. Staff were incredibly helpful! It was a fun place with heaps of character. Middle of know where. the rooms are clean and you should only go here if u need a bed to sleep for the night. we stayed 1 nyt to visit nasa but other than that there are no bars restaurants of points of interests around. no fun or people to chat to. you get kicked out of rooms between 10am and 5pm everyday they are locked. the coaches i was lying on were comfy but i showed my bf white milimetre bugs crawling around! kitchen crap. gd points its 6 blocks roughly from street tram stop 4 greyhound.Middle of know where. the rooms are clean and you should only go here if u need a bed to sleep for the night. we stayed 1 nyt to visit nasa but other than that there are no bars restaurants of points of interests around. no fun or people to chat to. you get kicked out of rooms between 10am and 5pm everyday they are locked. the coaches i was lying on were comfy but i showed my bf white milimetre bugs crawling around! kitchen crap. gd points its 6 blocks roughly from street tram stop 4 greyhound....Close

The place is brilliant, Keith made sure everything was all ok for me, although they do charge for Wi-fi, I can't fault my stay here. The place is brilliant, Keith made sure everything was all ok for me, although they do charge for Wi-fi, I can't fault my stay here....Close

I was nervous after reading previous comments of crazy people living there but my stay couldnt have been nicer. It's a basic affair but very charming, a bit in the middle of nowhere, no shops/ restaurants nearby but Houston is a huge city built for drivers, and the hostel was close to the city metro-rail to go all over and good enough to walk to the excellent museums and parks. It's not a fun hostel, the people staying were older, serious and not on holiday, but it was a great oasis of peace.I was nervous after reading previous comments of crazy people living there but my stay couldnt have been nicer. One of the worst hostels I've been to in a while. The place smelt like cat's pee, which is not suprising because there was a cat who was doing unmentionables inside. They also charged extra for internet access and towel rental. Really bad place. Definitely not recommended. One of the worst hostels I've been to in a while.
