Houston International Hostel Reviews

Have never complained on hostelworld before. This hostel had an anti-drinking policy which we found very hypocritical as the owners 6 foot 4 son freaked out on us in a drunken rage which involved slaps to the face, tables being thrown and death threats, with no provocation. He then turned his attention to other guests and even pushed his own mother. The police we're called but then ordered away for some reason letting the son go to sleep out the back of the hostel. Will never recommend!

They had fleas. Now after one night in their establishment I have fleas. I should have read the google reviews of this place which accurately state that they have fleas. WTF?!

This is a property which is really handled with personal care and it was really comfortable to stay on such property and I am really satisfied.....THANKS specially for adjusting with me not only for my arrival date but also with my departure date....i.e. MY ORIGINAL BOOKING: 13 to 18/11/2011 was reduced to......only ........................................: 15 & 16/11/2011. Though I informed the management in time and they were attentive. Please adjust my 10% Booking fees .

The hostel looked good from the photographs however when we got there we were suprised how shabby it was. We found the kitchen especially dirty and ill equiped. The cooker was dangerous as there were no gas knobs and it had definately seen better days. It was a shame not to find free coffee, sugar and creamer provided to make people welcome.

Very easy going hostel. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I visit Houston again. However, I can imagine that some kind of travelers might not like this hostel and therefore there are some negative reviews.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are okay but a bit small. Bathrooms are too old. Location is ok. But I would say that for the price you pay it is very decent.
