for any couple, or traveling group planning to take the train from bangkok; @hualamphong is a good choice. it is the closest option near hualamphong station I could find, which was very convenient. the reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. the room and amenities were well worth the price as well.

We enjoyed ou stay at hua lamphong, it was clean, easy amd friendly.our room was towards the busy road, so there was a bit of traffic noise, which kept me awake the first night, i the bought myself some earplugs and voila no problem from then on. There was no drunks rushing around in the middle of the night and no constant opening and closing of doors. Great location if you travel by train, use the exit one from the subway station and the entry of the guest house is 20 meters to your left.

Impeccably clean rooms with good ventilation and well-maintained A/C. Power and light at every bunk in dorm. Big lockers in room. Two showers and two toilets in ensuite bathroom - both also clean and well-maintained. Good restaurant - a little pricey for the atea though, and a softt boiled egg takes two to three minutes guys, not the 40 seconds you're giving it now. In short, good hotel service at hostel rates. Who could complain?

Next to MRT and trainstation. The atmosphere around the hostel is not very nice. But with the metro you can get everywhere. Or walk 10 min tot the ferrie.

The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. They helped me find the places I was going to see in Bangkok and always with a smile.

The hostel is right next to the train station so ideal if you want to stay the night before catching the train. Its quite a way from the main attractions though. There are no lockers. The staff were very helpful in helping find the ticket office in lumpini where I had to collect my train ticket from.

Since we operated this business, we have had lockers for each guest in dorm rooms and safety box in each private room.

Absolutely loved my stay in @Hua Lamphong, it was brilliant. Staff are lovely, so approachable, helpful with any enquiries or questions. Asked them questions about the best pier to get for Grand Palace etc. and were so happy to help and gave great advice! Location handy for station however be careful on nights always travel in groups and know where you're going (especially for woman!). But inside feel secure safe, rooms lovely for a hostel. CANT FAULT IT! Would be more than happy to return!

We loved this place and it was a great location for our 3 night stay in Bangkok, would recommend this to anyone as close to main train metro station and river ferries!!

I thought that @huaLamphong was a great place to stay. It was just across the road from the train station so getting there and away couldn't have been easier. I enjoyed having the ensuite in my room which wad shared with 3 others. Getting up to the room with heavy baggage was ok because they had a lift which was awfully slow. However it had a nice lobby where you could eat and drink and use the free wifi however the computers had meters on them and The AC in the tV lounge needed a deposit.

The security wasn't amazing and I don't think I'd have left anything high-value in the lockers if I'd wanted to during the day. But that said Thailand is quite a safe country and there's probably no need to be more secure than they were. This hostel is right next to the main station, and is also on a metro line, but there isn't really anything useful around it, so good depending on what you need. Staff here are really nice and helpful.

It was nice overall but I found that staff did not know some rather general information about the city. And what was a bit more disappointing they did not express the willingness to find out. It would be easy to find in google, especially in their language. Rather pricey in comparison with other hotels and everything cost extra even if not much, such as use of PC or luggage storage. It is good if you travel with a group of people, but if on your own it is hard to meet others.

Very nice place, room was very clean, a/c quiet. This place is 2 mins from the cental railway station in Bangkok. We found it an excellent place to stay the night before getting the 'oh my god its early' train to Poipet (Thai Cambodia border), if your taking bikes you need to be there early to get them on. About 2-3 miles from 'backpacker cental' which shouldn't ve more than 200 baht in a taxi.

Friendly staff. Great food! Very clean room, comfortable beds and huge lockers. Decent shower nothing special. They also supplied nice fresh towels. Great location and close to both domestic and international train stations.

Very Close to Train Station! 5 min walk to China Gate. BTS Station in front of Hostel! 10min walk to Ferry Pier! Friendly stuff!!

Some issues with noise from the road throughout the night, and shower was freezing! We found it odd that the most expensive place we stayed at in Asia had the coldest shower.

Everything is good! Very near to Hua Lamphong MRT and the train station. Food around the area is cheap. The rooms are properly cleaned and staffs were really friendly. Definitely worth the price! It would be even better if the hostel provides a drinking machine with drinking water for our convenience. A pantry would be even better.

Excellent location for the main train station in Bangkok if you want to continue your travels around Thailand. It ruins the atmosphere in the hostel a little bit though as the people you meet are nearly always leaving the next day! Good location to other cool areas in Bangkok like Silom, Lumphini park etc by metro. The room is nice and clean and security is good. I would recommend this hostel.
