Great location. Helpful staff (they speak fluent english). Nice bar. Great value for money. I think it is much better to stay here than in any other hotel of Tankou even being further from the yellow mountain.

For a really affordable price I got exactly the same facilities as I would have got from a hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with excellent facilities and the staff were very helpful. I strongly recommend it.

The kitchen is the weak point - little selection, a lot of things unavailable. Good lounge, but staff at the front desk unhelpful.

We loved the atmosphere in the Laojie (Old Street) with all the people, the shops, the restaurants. Perfect place to stay for a trip to Huangshan City/Tunxi. The hostel offered a bus to Mount Huangshan, which was very convenient.

I did like the room and the overall interior design of the hostel, and the fact that it's in the old street. The worst thing i met was not about the hostel tho: the 6:25 shuttle to the Mountain was convenient, but DON'T book a return trip with the driver - the bus service wasnt operated by the hostel. The so-called return bus was indeed a 'hitchhike' coach of a local tour. It refused to unload us at the hostel & we needed to make our own way back by another bus. Cost us extra $ and trouble

It's a decent hostel in Huangshan. Rooms are okay with bathrooms inside. Lobby sucks not a comfortable place to sit and weak + slow wifi connection. Cleanliness is okay but whole building isn't maintained that well(though only a few years old)

Great location in the old street of Tunxi. A shuttle service to the mountain is available if you speak to the staff. The staff themselves are very friendly. Only downside, but this is in many places in China is that heating is a luxury so going during the winter was freezing everywhere except your room if you put your heater on max.

The hotel was very cold. Sleep at this temperature was impossible. The hotel was not possible to order a breakfast. On the ground floor there is a free wi-fi . Staff is friendly. There is a morning bus from the hotel to the mountain.

First of all, thank you very much for giving us a comment. I noticed you stayed on the third floor which was not as worm as that on the 4th and 5th floor. and we do have AC inside the room, if you felt that was not enough for you, you could ask for another heater and another blanket or quilt. as for the breakfast, i was really sorry it was our fault for not telling you that the breakfast should be reserved if you wanted to have it the next day. Anyway, thank you again for choosing us for one of you stay in Huangshan.

Surprisingly well equipped hostel considering it's a small town and most people just go to the mountain. Nice bar and restaurant area (although not heavily used), bus pick up to the mountain (for a fee), they'll even make you breakfast if you order it the night before. Quite a good location. Staff seemed super helpful at first (free train and bus bookings!) but ended up sort of flaking out on us so we had to come back early to sort bus tickets. Not ideal, but otherwise nice place.

First of all, we would like to say thank you for your good comments for our hostel. As for the bus tickets we have to tell you that we did try our best to get two tickets for you but we failed. so we connected you to tell you if you want the morning bus to shanghai you have to go to the bus station to buy the tickets by yourselves because when you come back from the mountain you would pass by the bus station, and there were a lot of buses going to shanghai, we were not sure which one you would like to take and what time was ok for you. But if you did tell us you can't get back early from the mountain, we would also like to go to the station to buy the tickets for you. Anyway, thank you again for you positive words towards our hostel. We hope to see you in the future in Huangshan.

Our room was amazing, it felt more like a hotel room than a hostel. Central location and great place to stay before we headed up Huang Shan. Make sure you take a trip to the Hot Springs at the foot of Huang Shan whilst you're there (about an hr away by bus).

The hostel was very cold. The heating unit didn't heat the whole room. Thankfully there was hot water all the time to warm ourselves up. The beds were a bit hard, could feel the springs poking through the mattresses. Asked the front desk to change our moldy shower curtain. They came up to the room, had a look, and decided it didn't need changing. The front desk is however efficient in booking travel plans, and the little cafe upstairs, once it warms up, is decent fun with pool, dvds etc.

Firstly, we would like to say thank you for your comments. We did go the your room and decide to clean the curtain for you. but you know the next day it was a rainy day and we couln't clean and make it dry, so we decided to change it when the weather went better. We were sorry that the we failed to tell you the thing. Anyway, thank you again for your good rating.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was on the Old Street which is an excellant location. The staff are very friendly. The 1 day trip to Hongcun and Xidi was value for money. The room very spacious and the bathroom shower was fantastic.

Good hostel. The staff are smart and the hostel is very good. If possible, I will stay there next time. BUT, THERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT THING I HAVE TO RECOMMEND is the hostel offers a local bus bringing you to HuangShan sightseeing spot in the morning at 6:30 a.m., I joined the bus and cost me 18 RMB for one way trip, when I got in the bus, there is a conductor guiding us about HuangShan, then he asked us to make sure the return bus. This is a trick for his saying very few return bus.

It had been a really wonderful stay at the hostel and I appreciate the assistance of the staff who helped us arranged transport and accommodation at Mt huangshan. However, one problem is that there were people smoking in the common area and that was quite disturbing. The internet connection is always somewhat unstable in the beginning, which was frustrating.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were really helpful booking tickets and giving advice. I thought the day trip to Hongcun and Xidi was great value (It's only in Chinese, but the price is much cheaper than doing it alone and the lunch was an added bonus). The bathroom in my room was new and spotless, with a western toilet and really nice hot shower!! Thank you
