Good hostel. There was construction going on across the street that was terrible (3 months ago). Aside from that, great place. Staff was friendly and personable and it had a good over all vibe.

I thought the hostel was nice. Should warn guests about the construction across the street.

Hue backpackers is a decent place to stay. It is close to pretty much everything in the city, also on a bust street for restaurants and nightlife. It can be a little loud but the music and noise is curbed at 12pm which is great. Would stay there again

Totally awesome! Not much else to say really, I think this is my first 100% and that's because this place totally deserves it. Fabulous staff, great location, amazing facilities, great wi-fi...the list goes on. It's a very sociable hostel and so easy to meet other travelers. When in Hue, stay here, you will not regret it. Big shout out to Jess and Jack!

This is the best hostel option in Hue. It is in a great location and is the only 'hostel' style accomodation in the city. Friendly staff good bar etc a lot smaller than Hanoi backpackers but nice vibe. Rooms are average and bathroom is wetstyle (shower over toilet) so I moved to hotel nearby (very cheap $12) as I was unwell and couldn't stomach wet style bathroom at this time. If backpacking would recommend this hostel while in Hue unless you need a break in which case hotels are very cheap

Most atmospheric hostel I stayed at in Vietnam. Whole downstairs area opens up on to the street. Rooms all open up onto balconies and it's great for chilling and people watching. Good happy hour deals are a great way to meet fellow travelers. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is good for checking out the area's plentiful bars and restaurants.

It has a location close to Hue's Citadel and the rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the place was very noisy at night, and the second floor rooms weren't very well sound proofed from the bar downstairs. Also the fan in my room which I had to put on high to drown out the bar noises was very squeaky. This place is a good place for loud partying young backpacker types. If that's not what you want, seek somewhere else.

Stayed one night and had a lot of fun, night time "entertainment" was great fun. 12 people to one shower means lot of waiting but then thats dorms! Recommended for backpackers looking to meet people

Good backpackers for partying and meeting other backpackers. The hostel bar/club brown eyes combination is pretty legit. The hostel is located in very noisy surroundings though, and Hue is really not worth spending a lot of your holiday in.

I spent three nights in the Hue Backpackers hostel. Overall it was a good experience. The staff were very friendly, and able to answer my questions. The hostel offered several reasonably priced tours around the city. They offered a free breakfast! Which makes starting the day easier. The one complaint I had about the hostel was the noise. The hostel had a bar downstairs that could be very noisy. They turned off the music at 11, but you may want to wear earplugs while staying here.

The wifi needs strengthening. Didn't reach the room and barely made the edge of the common area. The atmosphere is very much about partying which is cool. I arrived at 5.30 and people were already drunk and passed out.

The staff were kind to re-locate me to another room without any fuss as I couldnt sleep with the hippopotumas snoring in my room. Things are fairly loud there until 11pm when it all stops bar the shouting, of which there's quite a lot. The social side of things was far to immature for my liking though. If you want a place to relax and so on, stay elsewhere.

Love Hue Backpackers. Who couldn't?! Had an amazing boat trip with Jess and lots of fun at the bar with Yak. Great members of bar and reception staff as well. Much friendlier than at Hanoi Backpackers!
