Know what you're getting into! It's a good place but it's very fratty and loud. It has a college party atmosphere and there is cheap booze, loud music, and yelling going on throughout most of the night. If that's your thing then you've found the place. If you like sleeping but want to go out, just book elsewhere and hit the hue bars nearby this hostel.
Stay here if you like a party atmosphere. The staff, location and food are excellent
Very nice place where to stay in Hue and meet other travellers, but maybe a bit noisy. Rooms are clean and ok. Staff is generally very nice. I only had a problem with one person at the reception. Very good value for money.
The place was fine. It has a nice balcony to chill out but the possibilities to interact with other people are quite limited to your dorms... The social are is fine but not well designed to socialize... The hostel is just fine compared to others I have been to. The location is very good though.
A little bit noisy, the internet is ULTRA slow that would barely allow to get anything done. Food is overpriced, breakfast is decent, beds are comfy and clean, restrooms are decent. The crowd is mostly scruffy backpackers.
Hue Backpackers - what a great hostel. Stayed at one of the sister hostels in Hanoi and loved it so couldn't resist staying here. Stayed in a private room, air con, and private bathroom, all great. Great atmosphere too, pub run is a must for a great night out. Food at the bar is delicious! Happy to stay again and recommend to others. Thanks
Drink and tour prices were a bit expensive, with no towel being given which is a bit annoying. Otherwise, the rooms were great for a hostel, it has a great atmosphere for meeting new people, and the staff are very helpful.
staff are a bit useless, really good for a night out here, good club down the road and why not bar down the road too. good beaches a bit of shopping, nice hostel where everyone stays so very sociable. drinks well priced on happy hour. food a little expensive but good. we then went on to stay in both their other hostels in the chain in hanoi
Nice hostel, good atmosphere and easy to meet people. I found that staff weren't very helpful if you wanted to travel independently rather than in their orgnaised tours
Best hostel in Hue. Really great atmosphere, good food and great staff.
Great place to stay, the bar/restaurant downstairs is really cool, very good if you want to socialize and/or have fun. The beds are comfortable, the restrooms are maybe a bit small but you can deal with that.
Had a great time!!

Good hostel for the price. Nice and friendly staff. You could hear music all night from surrounding bars.

Just really the most fun hostel to stay at while in Hue.
A really good stay at Hue Backpackers, comfortable beds and it is in a good location. The bathrooms weren't super flash (but definitely OK, not terrible), our taps were really difficult to use and turn off? Friendly staff, and a good restaurant/bar area downstairs. Good value for money :)
Enjoyed the time I spent here, staff are spot on
Slightly overrated place, the bar is good! The Vietnamese staff are about as helpful as a poke in the eye... Not interested in being there at all. The food is pretty good but hardly any Vietnamese food which is a shame. If I visited hue again I'd stay else where and just visit the bar.
Nice place to stay for a few nights. Only thing I didn't like was that there was just one shower
Had a great stay at Hue Backpackers. Met some great people and had some fun nights. If you want a social hostel then it's a really fun place. The downstairs common area is so good for meeting other travellers and the balconies have the comfiest chairs ever. It's about a half hour walk to the Citadel however it's a really nice walk through a park and across the river so no complaints there. Only issue I had was finding cheap eats close by.
