modern, clean, large, well priced hostel. We got lucky and got a room to ourselves which was a nice surprise. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and the Lake is beautiful. Recommend hiring a bike to see the area.

A good all around hostel in a quiet area of Balaton. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and the owner looks like John C. Reilly. The bikes that can be rented are great quality, and the water is within a few minutes walk.

Hullam is a great place to escape the big city and relax by the water. A Perfect place to sleep by the water and return to the hostel for a few beers with friendly people from all over the world - including Hungarian staff and guests, and a great cooked dinner from a wood-fire heated cauldron. The shop next door has the best produce I have seen in 9 months in Europe and the prices will please everyone. I enjoyed my week at Hullam and obviously recommend to anyone and everyone.

Awesome place to stay! Cool spot, yum food that they cook over the fire every night and super helpful staff! Helped us with getting connecting trains to Ljubjiana in Slovenia. Would def stay here again!
