I would recommend that you stay in Hutton Lodge, however, i would strongly urge you not to book your transit into thailand through them - especially if your destination is one of the islands. Our journey to Koh Pha Ngan lasted 18hrs in a minibus and involved our luggage falling out on the motorway and being ripped off massively once we got to Surat Thani for our boat ticket. The boat ticket was supposedly included in our ticket.

We stayed at hutton lodge for two nights, which were very comfortable, lovely clean beds and bathroom! the breaskfast was also very nice, good butter and very tasty jam plus a good cup of tea and orange juice, very handy for shopping on penang road, about 30rm from the bus terminal. would reccomend it, the washing facilities came in useful too!

computers are only a money making device,so slow.Rooms are overpriced compared to other places .

Really,really enjoyed our stay at Hutton Lodge.Was conveniently located within walking distance to all the different areas,shopping,buses,street stalls & some really excellent food places.
Room was clean,comfortable & quiet.
But the very best thing about staying at Hutton Lodge was the wonderful happy & smiling staff who made our stay a pleasure.

lovely people and clean rooms with clean bathroom, not in the best location, area looks very downtrodden, nice breakfast-tea and toast, but room never got cleaned even though we asked

The staff were very helpful I booked a dorm room to share with 5 other people but i was upgraded for the 3 days i stayed there to share with 1 other person in a 2 person room. Thanks very much to the good people that made my stay at hutton lodge wonderful

Awesome place. Very clean, decent breakfast and close enough to walk to the sights of downtown Georgetown. Couldn't be happier with my choice!
