I've booked a night for 8 bed mixed dorms (500 rub/night/person).Anyway,it turned out fully booked.So,Sergei gave me and my partner a twin private room to stay in (700 rub/night/person)but to pay the price as I booked.It was a bless !Twin private room is located beside the toilet.So,it is kinda noisy when the others going in and out the toilet,esp in the morning.The bed sheet is simple,the bed is hard,not very comfortable.The wifi was not working.Location is good,reachable by walking to Kremlin.

This hostel was good for the value and location. From the railway station, it's about half an hour by foot (which was what I needed after a 12 hour train ride from Moscow!) or easily accessible by one of several bus routes. The overall character was good, with a few modest luxuries. I stayed for a few nights in early May, and lucked out by renting a bed in a mixed dorm and basically having the place to myself. Beds were hard as rocks, but if you get drunk enough, you'll never notice.

Best Place Ever. I'm from California, and stayed in Kazan for over a week while traveling through Russia. I&I Hostel MADE my trip. The young, cool people that run I&I are so considerate. They care deeply about the aesthetics, feel, and vibe of the residence, an you can see they work hard to maintain it. This means going out of their way to make I&I super-cool and super-comfortable. The Wifi and location are perfect. I am well traveled, and I VERY HIGHLY recommend I&I Hostel.

Great hostel. The facilities are a minimal, but more than satisfactory. They have a nice sauna for a small fee as well. Pretty much everyone speaks at least some English, it helps if you know some Russian though. Sergei is extremely hospitable, kept the place impeccable, and always has suggestions on where you might eat, drink, socialize, etc. The location is pretty good, walking distance from everywhere. I didn't even have to bother with public transport.

We stayed a few nights and did not use some of the facilities, like sauna or the owner's "Dragon". For the rest, kitchen is just enough - two can fit cooking freely. We lived in twin room - our door and the door of the toilet were in the same pocket, next to each other, so even my wife said its private enough. The hostel has its own heating, so when two girls washed their hair, my wife waited for 20 minutes. Its clean, cosy and relaxed. The life goes 24/7, and somebody plays music even at night.

I really like this hostel and when I come back to Kazan there'll be no questions where to stay - I&I only! It seems that only good people can live there) I found a lot of them there) It feels like home at this hostel
