Our hostel features a large and social common room with fully equipped kitchen as well. Our staff also takes guests on free pub crawls around Wicker Park.

We offer offer both male and female dorm beds and private rooms, both with shared bathrooms. All rooms are hotel-type rooms with all-new beds and furniture, plus new bathrooms.

Wicker Park is one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago for nightlife, restaurants, bars and shopping. Downtown is great for sightseeing but Wicker Park is where you will want to spend all of your time. You can literally see the trains on the blue line as they pass by a block away. Wicker Park is the hippest place in Chicago and is only two stops from the city center and five stops from the Willis (Sears) Tower and Union Station.
Make the right choice in your travels and try out IHSP Chicago Hostel, located in the famous Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood directly on the Damen stop on the blue line. We are not one of those hostels that charges you for everything, you will feel at home here.

I wish I had booked another hostel to be frank. It had a high atmosphere rating, but I felt like I was in a mortuary the whole time I was here. I have never seen so many exhausted & boring people who just want to rest their eyes on the couch. NOBODY wanted to party. Also, ALL THE FEMALE DORMS WERE BOOKED BY 9 YEAR OLD GIRL GUIDES. Needless to say, I was furious. Any cool people seemed to be located in an apartment down the road who never made it over to our area. The rooms were TINY.

This property has a 2 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Please note that we do not accept local guests. You must show a passport or out-of-town ID. USA Citizens: You may not stay in our dorms unless you have a student ID and a travel itinerary. Private rooms can be booked by anyone that is not living locally.
Parking is free for guests staying in private rooms. We charge dorm guests $10/day.
The airport shuttle is the CTA Blue Line. Board at O’Hare airport and exit at Damen. You will be reimbursed the $5 at check-in. Refund from O'hare only.
16.4 % tax is not included in the room rate and will be added to your balance upon arrival.
We have a two-day cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night's accommodation plus taxes.
This is a non-smoking premises. However, you may smoke upstairs on our roof deck.
No sleeping bags! We provide all linen and can bag and hold your sleeping bag if you have one.
