I\'m not one that would normally stay in a hostel but I attended a bachelor party and everyone was staying at the IHSP in Chicago. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the accommodations and I also thought the amenities were very nice. Plus, you can\'t beat the free pancake breakfast!!! I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

Unbelievable hostel, Rees and Scott made us feel really welcome and were always on hand to give a hand if we needed anything. Good fun and good location, couldn't have asked for more

Brilliant hostel- lovely spacious room and bathrooms really clean and had power showers. Free breakfast filled us up for the day and hostel staff were very friendly and helpful, they minded money for us and helped us loads with advice about the local area

We stayed in the Chicago Getaway Hostel before we stayed in the IHSP and while the getaway hostel was nice, we found that the IHSP was far more relaxed and had a more convivial atmosphere. Both Reese and Scott, who run the hostel, not only aided us in settling in and getting to know the surrounding area but were also very approachable and amicable. The drinking sessions up on the roof-deck with the rest of the people staying at the hostel were very enjoyable and were conducive to the communal mood of the ho

Great location! Really convenient to get to/from the airport and anywhere else you will want to go in Chicago. Fun neighborhood. The cleanest/newest hostel I have ever stayed. Perfect if you came with a group of friends. But if you came along, it is not the most social environment. Unlike other hostels people do not hang out much with each other in a common area.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was amazing, the staff always kind and trying to solve any issue that may arise. I highly recommend this hostel. Near the blue line with access to any place we would like to visit.

I have stayed in many Hostels before and IHSP ranks as one of the best! I loved the pancakes in the morning and the roof deck was really cool! Thanks for such a great stay guys!

The female staff Isabelle is super helpful! Also, the guy at our private room building even went further as to walk 5 minutes in the middle of the night to bring hot water for a guest. Super impressed!

It's quite hot in the common area, seems they don't have air conditioner for that?

My only complaint is that one of the windows was missing a curtain, thus waking up most of the room early because of the bright light.

the location is great. 20mins from airport. 20mins to downtown. 1min walk to the nearest train station. one thing - if you pay by credit card, you need to add 4% but there is an ATM inside (2$ fee). I like the kitchen and common places. selfmade pancake, lots of kitchen utensil. a little bit hot last night but cool after they turned on central air conditioning... staff are very friendly. you can also print boarding pass at the front desk. also they have 19$ bike rent per day.

Was a great location for things I wanted to do in Chicago. Employee's were very helpful and the common room had a great setup! Loved the free pancake breakfast. Arelhi and the rest of the group were great! Adding the BBQ on the roof deck was a great addition! Throw in some lighting for some ambience up there and it would be perfect! I would definitely come back. I especially appreciate the non-closing hours. I got to enjoy the city at night! Great times guys, Bruce Montgomery

Hostel is good, well located and the staff is very nice. I had only two problems: the first one was with the towels - we needed to wait almost one hour to get them and some of them were smelling pretty bad the second one was with the sheets and the amount of hair on it.

1.I booked 4 female dorm but the staff led me to 10 female dorm. I insisted that I wanted to live in 4 female dorm, then the girl changed the room reluctantly. My roomates had the same problem from another staff. Another girl said she couldn\'t make the staff change her room. 2. There are only 2 restrooms and 2 bathrooms for all people who live in dorms in the hostel. 3. Breakfast is pancakes everyday. You have to get up early and wait in a line and make your own.
