I actually stayed at the other building across, which did not have a kitchen. Would have loved it if the other building across had a kitchen too.

The day I left they gave me a card saying: "Leave us a nice review and we will refund you $10". Obviusly they give it to everybody, so they buy "nice reviews" for$10 each. That might be of interest to Hostelworld. Feel free to "pass this coment" to them. And you guys from the hostel feel free to refund me the $10 if you want to. But my review is not affected by that. Nice hostel. Nice ambient. Clean and safe. Nothing outsanding, though. Not an extremely helpful staff. More bathrooms would be nice

Very happy with location, nice street. Staff is really friendly, especially the girl in the mornings. They have activities and it's easy to meet new people. The only downside was the breakfast, the line was really, really long expecially for the waffles.

This is definitely the best hostel I ever have been in! This place really feels like home. As a lonely traveler, I could meet there new people really easily. The staff is young, kind and always there to help you. Because of the great location, I could easily go to all the hotspots of the city, but honestly, the hostel itself was for me the best best place of Chicago.

We enjoyed our stay. The hostel ir very good. Nice staff. Well located. But we were at the new building and it was not very good. The stove doesn't work, there are few bathrooms per room and the rooms have too much light in the morning and little privacy to the inside and to the outside because of the light curtains everywere. The windows do not close properly and we had wind cooming in from the windows and bricks at night in bed.

Rooms are very small, even smaller than European hostels! Beds are horrible, they should use some soft material to mattresses which are invariably small. There is hardly any storage space/ lockers in dorm room. Common area has poor lighting and feels glum, there isn't much going on at common area.

The staff was really friendly and always offered helps. I asked for a locker, and she was really please to find one for me. The hostel locates on 2nd and 3rd of the building which has elevator to access; however, the Damon CTA station doesn't have elevator or escalator. If you need it, I recommend to use Western exit, which is 15-minute walk along N.Milwaukee Ave. to the hostel.

I'm from Germany and stayed there before my flight was leaving back home. I already stayed in many many hostels but this was the best I've ever stayed by far!!! The atmosphere was awesome and the staff more than friendly!!! Rooms and facilities were very very clean and nice! Best thing was that there were lots of information about Chicago on the walls like maps (including distance to PoI and Metro lines) and interesting bars/clubs. I can definitely recommend that hostel, as I said, best ever!!!

The location was convenient - on the light rail just between the airport and train station. The staff were helpful, suggesting some places to eat or even get a haircut. The best part was the roof access: there were picnic tables for people to sit on, and you could eat/drink with a view of the beautiful Chicago skyline. Only negative for me is that it was more expensive than most hostels I've stayed at, but that's Chicago for you.

A friend and I came to Chicago to watch the White Sox and fly out of ORD early on a Sunday morning - we were not in the mood for partying That said, the hostel was rather noisy and we did not get much sleep. However, if you're coming to Chicago to party, this seems like the place to be. The area has lots of bars and young people willing to party. As for the hostel, it's clean, the staff and guests were very friendly, there's a Nintendo in the common area, a pool table, great kitchen, rooftop...

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One of them was even new and when we asked him about something he didn't know, he went out of his way to find an answer. I appreciated the security measures they went through for our safety and loved that it was located in wicker park! This was the first time me and my friends stayed in a hostel and I'm so happy with the experience!
