This is a cool little hostel, good atmosphere, free pancakes for breakfast and easy free parking. The ensuite bathroom was too small and didn't lock, the common bathrooms were nicer as they are big and clean. Missed some lockers and charging for shower towels is a bit greedy... It's a cheap stay in an expensive town so I would stay again.

Staff were great and facilities are really good - fully equipped kitchen, games, netflix, computers with free internet access. Only down side was a 6 bed dorm was really a 4 bed dorm with a 6 bed dorm joined together. You had to walk through the smaller dorm to get to the larger one and there was no door in between - so really was like a 10 bed dorm. It didn't bother really bother us though!

Watch out not to miss this tiny little hostel when you go along the street :-). Santa Barbara is a nice city at the coast with a wonderful beach and the Los Padres National Forest, which is suited very well for hiking. The hostel is ok, breakfast consists only of pancakes, so don't forget to bring sth. else unless you're ok with just pancakes.

Nice little guesthouse, room for parking out the back which is a plus. Staff member high as a kite when we walked in which was kind of funny and quite normal for the area. Our private room was okay, beds were comfy and sheets fresh. Complementary Pancakes in the morning.Strange collection of people staying there which was the biggest drawback for me. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

It was an alright hostel, but the check in took forever and then rooms were small and pretty unpractical. There were no mirrors in the bathroom, and there was only one toilet that was working. The staff was nice, and were helpful.

Staff kind and helpful. Booked a 6 bed dorm but it ended up being a 10 bed dorm (as no doorway between that and 4 bed dorm). Hostel small and very little room in dorm for bags. Was fine for a short stay especially as out of the hostel majority of the day.

I had a really good time in that hostel. It feels more like a family than a normal hostel! The staff is super friendly.

Hidden away, this hostel was just a pit stop for me on the way up to San Fransisco. It was very quiet not a lot going on, no organised activities but met some nice people all the same

I had to run around in the shower to get wet. Overall, the place was decent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing little place. Like living in a clean shared/student house. Fantastic, just felt homely and had everything you could ask for.

The main problem with my stay there is that the payment due upon arriving was no correct. They added a bunch os taxes and fees, I feelt a little stupid, but did not have a way to constest it. Now, reading the site again, it says that the amount showed on the reservation already includes taxes, so the basicly fooled me. Hostelworld needs to clarify their communication with their hostels, because the correct fee should be known by all parties.

The hostel is alright, nothing to exciting going on there maybe just the breakfast pancakes. I would still recommend it

Pretty decent. Good value. Bit small and pokey living areas and kitchen, but they try to provide bit of entertainment for you. Having a room near reception was noisy at night though. Did feel like bit more of a shelter at times with SB locals staying there, as opposed to international travellers. Kevin on reception was real cool and friendly. Free pancakes for breaky were yum!!

Just stayed one night at the hostel whilst road tripping the West coast. It served its purpose and the cheapest option in town, had parking and the pancake breakfast a nice touch. Cosy hostel in a former home. I would suggest that hand soap be provided in communal bathrooms by all hostels.

The hostel is pretty close to the beach and the state street (which is the main shopping street) isn't too far as well. I liked the familiar atmosphere with nice people and really enjoyed my stay!

The hostel is full of young people. Next to it there is a small super market and a mc donalds but to go downtown it is like 30 minutes and even more to go to the beach. The rooms and common areas are very small.
