I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. The hostel staff is really nice, helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is good, there is a big market right in front of the hostel where you can get cheap fruits, vegetables and different chinese meals. Its a 15 minute walk to the next metro station. I definitely can recommend this hostel if you want to stay in a homely place in Beijing.

Nice Beijing courtyard style hostel. Very nice staff. One Simi(spelling) was quite helpful with writing and translating things into Chinese. Would recommend this place.

An amazing and charming little hostel. If you want a unique and very Chinese experience, then this place is perfect. The staff speaks really good English and they are very helpful. If you have a problem with the room, they'll fix it right away. My friend and I needed to get to the airport very early, so they helped arrange for a taxi to pick us up at 4:30 in the morning. It's a good place to meet other travelers and just relax at the end of the day. Just remember, it's a hostel, not a hotel.

Nice little hostel with very friendly english-speaking staff. They offer tours & can book rail and flight tickets for you. Internet was slow but that's China for you & there were only 2 toilet/showers but no real problems.Little far from the tube station if you have a lot of luggage & hard for taxi drivers to find (but that also seems to be a China thing!)

Loved this place! Sammy and her colleagues were the perfect team. I felt really relaxed in the hostel itself and yet just outside was the interesting chaos of hutong Beijing. I stayed here a week and would have done longer if I could . The dorms were clean and roomy. The guests are a nice mix of chinese and foreigners. If you want an authentic taste of hutong Beijing in a calm quiet hostel then come here. Highly recommended.

warm and nice place to stay, especially for the ones who love Hutong culture. But we didn't really enjoy the stay as the house is old and the washroom is not that clean. It's probably inevitable and acceptable as it's a trade off for antigue hutong hostel...

InnerCity Hostel in Beijing is one of the best youth hostels I've ever stayed in! Everything was great: the location, the personnel, the atmosphere, ... If you are looking for a unique experience in Beijing, far from mass tourism, definitely you have to book at InnerCity! Many thanks to the staff for your warm hospitality :-) Adélaïde (Belgium)

Fantasticly friendly and helpful staff who're happy to help with any and all aspects of beijing including booking tickets and tours, and organising evening activities. There were clean and well kept amenities, decently equipped kitchen and friendly chambermaid staff. Few minutes walk from subway/bus routes, next door to a 24hr shop, and daytime fresh-food market. Rain, Teresa and Sammy were really helpful and friendly staff.

I can only complain about showers that were very not convenient. Otherwise, everything fine for the budget and staff are very friendly!

I like my stay there. The staff is friendly and the hostel is well located. You will have everything you need here, if you are just looking for a place to sleep. The kitchen is good and its quite clean everywhere. I would recommend this hostel.

A terrific experience! The innkeeper is very lovely.

on photos it's look better than in real life. Rooms are very cold +16C at night! I think place may be good at summer but not at winter.

The staff are all pretty friendly and helpful. The hostel is close to subway line 4 and 2, so it's easy to move around. The room which I was staying was three beds RM, was cozy and roomy. The shared bathrooms were not that spacious but clean and functional. In all, Inner city is a lovely hostel and will recommended

PPL are very nice here. Room is warm and comfortable. There are also many activity with staff here every night. I really enjoy time I was there. I didnt even want leave but I have to. So see u sammy and rain! I love you both! Next time when I come back, we can eat Kungbao Chicken together~!

super hostel and super staff. Located in an old hutong (a courtyard house typical of Beijing) and so is very charming. Not very close to the metro (10 min.) but in Beijing NOTHING is close to the metro. in that cold cold febraury in which i was there, the rooms were incredibly hot, and the hot water for the shower too. The staff is incredible, they help you with any problems, including writing chinese addresses for the taxy drivers and give you basic instructions on how to use badu.com. A+++
