The manager (can't remember her name, she worked on Sept 2 night) was very very nice, patient, helpful. On my last night, she came out with me to help me get a cab to the Metro Station to catch the Airport Express (cabs often don’t want to bother with taking you to the Metro stop since it is too small of a fare).

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Bathrooms and kitchen are a little shabby

The staff was so generously helpful. I had a million questions and they never begrudged answering them. Also, the hostel is charmingly beautiful with a certain simple elegance.

The Inner City hostel is a cheap and pleasant place to stay. While it is not strictly in the very center of Beijing, it has a good location if one takes into consideration that beijing is simply a massive city. Rooms are clean and with a cool character. The common area is very pleasant and staff is very nice. Toilets are more or less OK. The only thing is that even though staff is nice, they are not reliable when it comes to booking taxis etc. Be aware of that and make your own arrangements.

showers and toilets were a little messy,but overall this hostel was definitely an excellent choice for this price.

A lovely little hostel. The staff were so nice, very cheerful and friendly. You can buy beer to enjoy in the courtyard at a very good price. There are a couple of computers that are free to use, plus free wifi. We started out infourths bed dorm which was fine, the shared bathros were ok but very small. We moved to a twin with ensuite because we extended out stay but the dorm had already been booked. The twin room was great! Fantastic decor and nice bathroom, plus we were given a discount.
