Really friendly staff who really value their customers. A good location and easy to get to from the airport and subway. I doesn't have a great atmosphere as in its not huge so you can't meet too many people.
Very easy to find, 7min walk to the metro station, super helpful and nice staff and the best coffee I've had in Korea - even by the europian standards. :D Itaewon isn't the main tourist attraction in Seoul but it has cool tiny restaurants, Leeum museum and the War memorial. However, you need to take metro to the city center. Anyway, would absolutely stay there again. Good value for money.
I had quite a big bag and had to carry it up to the 4th floor to the reception. Then it turned out we have to go to another location where the private rooms are located. Thankfully the guy at reception carried the bag there – down 3 floors, then up 3 floors again. But on checkout I had to do it myself. Then at checkin it turned out credit card payment incurs 10% price hike – this is not marked anywhere. Overall the place is a little depressing, although the staff are very nice.
Good price. However a bit far from then the subway.
I stayed in a deluxe private room that could sleep two in a double bed and one in a single. There is one shared bathroom, filtered water machine, kettle, gas range and refrigerator for use. Staff was very accomodating and there is a phone available in the gueshouse and also in the main part of the hostel where the dorm rooms are in case the owner needs to be contacted in an emergency. Excellent location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. I would definitely recommend IS@K Guest House!
It was great staying at IS@K Guest House. I was in the private bedroom, no issues at all. Shout out to Nate (staff), very friendly and helpful--as well as the owner. The separate guest house is a little bit away, but you can always just hang out in the main room and meet new people. Location is good too, just need to remember to "look up" when you're looking for the sign (it's obscured by trees depending what side of the street you're on). I will recommend this place to my friends.

Something that I didn't really like is lack of light - no windows in common area nor in the rooms (at least the one I used). And also the doors of private rooms are half open, so keeping it quiet is quite difficult. Other than that it's new and clean, easy to find and provides helpful information. Area is just ok, I found other parts of Seoul a bit more vivid.
I was not made aware at time of booking that my room was located in a separate building 5mins walk from the main building. there was no security, and anyone could have walked up the outside stairs to my door and if they knew the code, came inside. i hope they change the code every time someone new stays. the room that we booked that was inside the main building was fine, no complaints. but if you are booking a 6bed en suite room then be aware you will be in a separate unsecured building.
Staff was very nice and patient. Our room was upgraded without extra charge. They need to replace the towels at least every other day. Facilities are complete and in great working order except for the water heater which is not stable, it's really hard to get the right mix of heated water so they need to improved their heating system.
The creatively named IS@K makes it easy for the weary traveler. If you are looking for a constantly messy, unorganized, loud and cramped non-discript place, then go no further than this self-proclaimed "traveler's lounge". There might be no better way to waste your money in Seoul.
Excellent overall experience in this guest house. Great value for money and very central location. The layout of the guest house is a little strange and can be noisy when trying to sleep from noise within the living room area. I would definitely stay here again.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time I gave it a 100% review! Unfortunately this time the room I was placed in was not actually in the hostel but in a building down the road. This meant no staff, no snacks, no guidebooks or maps available and no chance to meet other travelers. Of course we could have gone to the main hostel but it was a few minutes up the road and not convenient if you just wanted to ask a quick question or get advice.
Rooms aren't anything out of ordinary and pretty tiny (6bed female dorm). However, there was free toast, coffee, tea and snacks provided. Staff were superb with very good english skills! They were extremely friendly and helpful!! They also do regular movie nights etc. which is awesome to meet fellow travellers. I so felt at home and absolutely enjoyed my stay there! Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those who want to meet new people and having an unforgettable time!
Excellent hostel. Only hostel in Itaewon which is the main foreigner neighborhood in Seoul.
The hostel is pretty close to all the attractions of Itaewon. It's on the main road but not dead in the centre so it's quiet when you need it to be. We were in a private double room which is actually in a deferent building. When we got there the look to our door was broken, but when we reported it, it was fixed straight away. Must have been broken by the previous guest. All in all, I was very happy.
Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Staff anticipated and resolved a problem with the booking before I got there. Staff are very friendly and helpful, hostel is clean, location is convenient, price is totally reasonable. Free maps available, as well as snacks and bread for breakfast. The staff speak great English, and went out of their way to introduce various aspects of Korean culture to their guests. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone going to Seoul.
Good hostel, but a bit far from subway station, almost in middle of 2 stations. Thank you.
The single room is a capsule without window! Pricy

It's more than a 5 minute walk from either metro station - Itaewon is crowded at night, I would HIGHLY suggest getting off at Hangangjin instead. Take Exit 3 but keep your eyes peeled for the Woori Bank or the Tourist Info booth on the opposite side of the road. They're MUCH easier to spot than the landmarks IS@K gives on the side of the road they're on. Find Woori, then look for the four story building on the opposite side. Group showers had some kind of insect on the walls, otherwise clean.
