A charming place, more than a hostel.. Yashi, the owner, was overwhelming friendly. The hostel was more than just immaculately clean, it was endearingly decorated, spacious and incredibly comfortable. Overall, a hostel as quaint as Kyoto itself.A charming place, more than a hostel.. seriously love yashi-san. cracks me up with his woolen hat (which is all the craze in japan). the night i stayed there, he organized a group dinner outing which was awesome to meet other people.
stayed in the girls dorm which is old style...sleep on the bamboo floor with the paper sliding doors. it was awesome.
kenji-san was also very helpful in explaining how to get to nara and things to do there.

Both Yashi and Kenji, the guys who runs the place are very helpful and tries to make all guest feel right at home. The location is great, easily accessible to all the site to visit and places to eat. I enjoyed my stay very much. The place is nice, you sleep on futons. And the owner would take all the guesthouse for dinner in Kyoto. That\'s nice for making new friends.I enjoyed my stay very much. This is a great place to stay!!! It totally contributed to my experience in Kyoto and is in an excellent location. The hostel is beautiful and the bed is more comfortable than mine at home. The owner makes you feel like you are a guest in his house rather than a random stranger camping out for the night! This is a great place to stay!!!
