very good hostel. Staff is very kind to you, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms too. Very well located, it's on the Rambla, one of the principal street of Barcelona and also is very near to the Metro station Liceu (green line). Great people inside, almost from everywhere in the world :D ! If you have to saty in Barcelona... i reccomand it to you ! ;)

Since we don´t usually travel with a padlock, we couldn´t secure our bag for the night. Also we have not been given proper linen either, and there was no small light in the room, so the ones arriving late had to turn on the main one. The place seemed to be ok though, reasonably clean, and the guy at the reception was extremely helpful. It is literally at the middle of the Rambla-area, so you might want to pick this one if you come to Barcelona for fun and parties.

The hostel was ok. The rooms where small but we where only 3 girls in a room for 4. The restrooms where very small and not clean, there where no hooks in the shower (for towels etc.) The staff and the entrance was amazing, but on the day we had to leave, the cleaning ladies started screaming at everyone on our floor to get out (at 9.a.m while the check out was at 11) this was not acceptable. There was also a huge line up for the check out, and we wasted 1 hour to do it.

The main quality of this hostel is its location, very central. It's not a great hostel but if you just want to spend a weekend away to party and do a little sightseeing it's good enough for its price.

It was not like living in an Hostel but like in a fabric hall. It was very very loud and facilities telling on the homepage were not true. There was no free wifi and no breakfast included. The taxi called by the hostel to the airport was very expensiv. The room was very dark and not clean. I would never come back to that hostel, I would prefer sleeping on the beach. This hostel is a very very bad choice.

If there were no Ilaria, Narcisa and other staff, this would have been the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. Although location is perfect, I felt mislead by information on the hostel world web page. At the time I booked this hostel, as facilities were mentioned internet access and breakfast. Truth is: you have to pay for the internet 1.5 Euros for 2 hrs and breakfast doesn’t exist anymore even we paid for it. It was okay, not one of the best hostels (except the location which is really great) but no problems. After reading all the reviews here I was actually surprised

AWFULL hostel ! The rooms look like a jail, bathroom was dirty, smells bad and no hot water. the breakfast is simply ridiculous. the only thingpositive stuff is the localisation. I don't advise you staying in this place.

The location of the hostel is very central but the clearness was so bad. This was the most dirtiest hostel I´ve ever visited. You should get every day some breakfast, it wasn´t any breakfast it was a joke: crispbread and awful juice.

The bathrooms on level 4 were terrible, nowhere to hang clothes & toiletries when using the shower, would it hurt to put a few hooks on the wall? Toilet cubicles were so small it was hard to turn around once the door was shut - and again no hooks to hang anything on. And - what's with the breakfast? 4 dried bits of mini toast bites that parents feed their kids when they have upset stomachs is not my idea of breakfast. I think it would be less insulting to just not offer breakfast at all.

I wouldn't recomend this hostel to anybody in this world: dirty, bugs, smell and overbooking. We couldn't sleep because of the noise at night. Another disgusting thing was the smell, there was so much ammoniac in the air that our clothes are still stinking (2 weeks after our visit and although we washed everything). The worst thing was that we had bedbugs in our room, my whole body was full of bites. Sad ending: now we have/had them at home too (very expensive adventure). Never again in my life!

The breakfast was a little weak.."......dried toast with juice and coffee......would have been better with real bread!

This is the most horrible hostel I´ve ever been. Staff members are very friendly. But definetly the hostel does not worth what you pay for.

The temperature in the dorm was pretty high, due to only one little fan in the ceiling that didn't work all thaqt well. But that is probably the same at any hostel in Barcelona in late august. Except for that, great location, friendly staff, clean bathrooms. I'll recommend it to people for sure!

we spent just one night in IYH and it was an horror. we got a room in the attic, with no air conditioning and only a small window. we could barely sleep because of the heat... besides, the room really did look like a prison. i would definitely not recommend this hostel to anyone.

Great location, right on La Ramblas. I didn't stay in the main hostel, got moved to an old apartment with dorm rooms. Great views of las Ramblas but it was on the 4th floor with no elevator. Lockers were small, could only really fit a small bag/laptop etc...staff were great, especially the girls!

rooms look like a old Bunker, very hot, poor fan.....quite expensive for the quality, but very good location close to métro Liceu
