Nice location with roofterras in the old town next to the cathedral, at 5 minutes walking distance from the busstation. Not a hostel but a small, with good taste decorated hotel.
Excellent stay at Idramon. There were four of us and we split a private room that had 2 bunk beds and one queen- very clean and comfortable. Great location right in Chania port, but out of the way of the hustle and bustle of all of the stores and restaurants. Owners were very helpful- they even drove us to get our car we parked far away because we couldn't figure out the confusing roads! At only 20 euros a night each for private accommodation, couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Was booked into this hostel but i didn't even set foot inside the building. arrived at around 9 at night and the door was locked and had a number to call despite 24 hour reception. a gentleman came over and grabbed us and took us to mikes rooms hostel across the square. this hostel was nice and had good facilities but no one could speak the greatest english. turns out the gentleman owned both hostels but was weird that we had to change hostel and seems like its a regular thing.
nice place, a bit far out of chania. but there's a bus which goes very often. not really a hostal, more like a hotel. well, it's called a hotel. decent place to stay, but maybe a bit isolating if your traveling alone. or cool, if you're into that. helpfull and charming staff.
Owners are a Greek family, they are treating you as their's own sons, very central location but don't expect a great view
