Igdlo Guesthouse was the first place we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Iceland. It was so close to the BSI. Even though we arrived after check in time, we had no dramas settling in. Our rooms were so clean!! Kitchen facilities was great. The guesthouse is about a 10 to 15mins walk to the main strip in town - Laugavegur st. Or if you took the scenic walk to the main strip, you would pass Hallgrimskirkja! And about a 20mins walk from harbour. Super friendly owner and staff!

This was the first time I stayed at a hostel and couldn't have been more pleased! The hostel was very clean and cozy! The beds were super comfortable and it was dry nice to have a sink in the room. We did a twin private and the bathrooms were never full, I would definitely return!!

The staff are very kind and helpful, the kitchen and dining room are great, with plenty tools to cook and plenty room to store your shopping, and you have a huge variety of teas to take whenever you want to, including organic ones (which I love). The hostel is just 5 minutes far from the church on foot, and the rest of the city is very close. We ordered a double room but got twins. Fortunately we are small and slept well together in only one bed :) Remind them if necessary you need the key!

Good location only a short walk into town. Cosy Room. Well maintained. Great kitchen which allows for cooking for yourself if you're trying to save money. Staff were very willing to help with any questions and bookings.

Very nice and welcoming hostel. The rooms are tidy and very comfortable located in the heart of Reykjavik. The only thing that one might find missing is of course a hot tub.

Very friendly staff. Beds were very comfy (they seem to be everywhere in Iceland, it's a nice surprise when you arrive) Breakfast was a bit minamalistic unfortunately. There are sign posts at the end of the street which demonstrate the street continues around the corner, but this isn't obvious when you're looking for the guesthouse and our SatNav didn't know the address existed. It's very well located, only a short walk from the city centre.

This guesthouse was in a good location, run by incredibly friendly and competent people and it was pristine. It's definitely not your typical hostel - it is a guesthouse. No common room bustling with fellow travelers and the like. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because we were told check in was at 2pm when we arrive at 9am, after having flown in on the red eye. There was no mention of this check in time anywhere on the site. We were exhausted and not happy.
