Great hostel with friendly staff. Was very well equipped and convenient location to the bus terminal and domestic airport. Centre of town within easy walking distance. Had a very enjoyable stay.

Only real complaint was the noise. During my stay there were a lot of young people, 14-16, staying as well who seemed to have no supervision or interest in getting over jet lag. It was certainly annoying, but you get what you pay for and Igdlo is a steal!

We had a great stay. Despite a big group of kids from Greenland running around it was calm & we had all the facilities that we needed (inc. a garden area :-). Was also easy to find the hostel & an easy walk 15min to the centre. We could also check in early when we arrived as our room was empty. Only suggestions: maybe have some signs to make 'house rules' clear (ie. breakfast./check in/out times). We got a short tour but more info or recommendations about tours/things to do would also be useful.

Our stay at the hostel was all we could have asked for. Fredrik is the greatest guy, was so generous with us, and even though he was very apologetic that the place was undergoing slight renovations it wasn't a problem whatsoever (the place should be even nicer now anyway). Tons of kitchen space. We had a great room for a very good price, it's not too far from the centre (but not right right downtown if that's what you're looking for). Also, Fredrik gave us the best deal on a car rental.

A great place to stay, very clean all around, nice kitchen and fine rooms. Fridrik, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. A short walk from the main bus station (wich buses to the airport), and to the Cathedral at the top of the hill. Also close to the Reykjavik museum in the park. Reykjavik is an amazing place and this hostel was an excellent choice for us!

Outstanding staff, value for money car rental too. Rooms are bright and clean, it's very close to the BSI (main bus station) about 5-10 mins walk and a little bit further into the centre of town but it's a pleasant walk. Only negative is that there were alot of internet issues when I was there, I had to do some work so it was a bit frustrating.

We had a really great stay at Igdlo Guesthouse. Ingi & Fridrik the two brothers who run the place are super friendly, very knowledgeable and down to earth. They made our weeklong stay really great. The rooms are large, new, and extremely clean. The Guesthouse is sort of right in the middle distance between the Perlan and the Downtown which is pretty good for covering large distances by foot. Its close enough to the city centre to go out at night but far enough so that you get a good sleep.

This is a great place to stay! It's very close to the city centre, and you'll find everything you need in the common rooms and the kitchen. The owners are very friendly and helpfull - they serve you well with maps, places to visit and ideas about what to do in Reykjavic. Don't miss the opportunity to stay there a couple of nights!

The address of this guesthouse changed (about 3-4 years ago according to the staff) from the one advertised on the net. This caused us a lot of inconvenience as we carried bags from the bus terminal up and down the street in the rain for 30 minutes looking in vain for the guesthouse. We'd just given up and were walking back down the motorway when we noticed it around the corner from the advertised address. The guesthouse was great, and staff were faultless, but update the address online.

This was a great place, and aside from the occasional internet connection hiccups, everything was perfect. The staff is fantastic, and it's a great value for the money. You can't do better in Reykyavik! Stay here!!

Overall a great guesthouse. Staff were very helpful with booking tours and advice on things to do. Breakfast was simple but nice, and also really flexible with breakfast so no need to be up by a specific time. Internet was fast and reliable. Would definitely stay here again.

In such a small city as Reykjavik , the location is great since Downtown and the Perlan are at walkable distance from it and also it is placed in a quiet zone where you can rest calmly.
