People are very nice, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitively come back!

Great place to stay this was my 2nd time to stay here and would again only few min walk to city

It's a place were you feel welcomed. The facilities are top notch (bonus points for the free tea, brewed coffee and chocolate). Location is good, around 10-15 minutes walking to any major landmark in the city. Ridiculously close to the bus station (convenient for Blue Lagoon ride and airport connection). Quiet, but friendly atmosphere. You can make friends or relax after a long day. Ingi and the rest of the staff are the best, helpful and friendly. We totally recommend it.

Very helpful, great price, not far from town. Walls not very thick, probably a little quieter in the rear of the building but can hear next door also. Would def stay here again. Maybe a vending machine would be good save going back out selling snacks

Convenient to centre. Knowledgeable staff. Great value!

Value for money. Great location. Easy parking. Friendly staff.

Very good, very clean, friendly hostel with good facilities. Location is not the most central, but unless you are in Reykjavik for party (this is not a party hostel and really, does anyone come to Iceland for party?) the 10 minutes walk to the downtown are perfectly reasonable. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. And free coffee 24/7!

Very nice clean hostel. Very quiet also, we booked a four bed dorm and didn't hear any noise from outside despite being right next to the toilet/shower. However there is only one toilet/shower per floor and they are in the same room, although we didn't have any problems waiting I can imagine this would be a problem in busier times.

Overall we had a nice stay at the guesthouse -- it has a hostel feel to it, but the facilities and amenities are nice. The downside is the organization/administration. When we arrived around 7 pm, the staff had left, and we were stuck outside trying to contact them by phone (they didn't send us instructions for entry until we were at the airport). They also did not know that Flybus doesn't offer pickup from the guesthouse, and gave us incorrect information about store hours on Sundays.

Ingi, Marina and Marco are lovely hosts. Thank you for the car rental and sightseeing suggestions. Please note that the FlyBus schedule has changed and the poster by the office is no longer accurate. There are only two buses on Sunday -- one in the morning at 8 a.m. and one in the evening at 6 p.m. We had to rent a car to get to the airport on time.

The hostel was very simple - a bed and a sink in your room, with a full bathroom in the hall. I certainly wouldn't choose this hostel for the atmosphere - it's very quiet, but it's clean and the staff was super helpful with our planning. Ask them where to go! Only two things to make sure of - if you don't have a car, this hostel may be a little out of the way (not exactly in town). Also, the water smells like poop (literally), but only because of the sulfuric acid.
